Cottage traffic app

Tonights ctv news mention that they've just launched a cottage traffic app.

 

Only on andriod right now. Blackberry soon, and iphone by the end of the month.

 

Free. User added info enhances the app so the more using it the better.

I guess you'll have to pull over and park to check it, otherwise you're using a hand held electronic device while driving. I found that AM680 does a reasonably good job.

If your pinkies have to push buttons to navigate the instrument, then I don't think it's hands free.

First thing I thought of as well. It does update you audibly and the idea is you enter your route before you start. Or use a navigator in the passenger seat. 640 does a good job but it is T.O. centric.

On my cottage commute I have a wife, 2 kids, 2 cats and a dog along for the ride. One of the passengers can run the app.

I have an easier way if you want suffering, just get run over by a 10 ton garbage compacter, they are good at pushing nerves. 2 cats and a dog would be okay, throw in the wife and 2 kids....
