grt1 Posted October 22, 2011 Report Posted October 22, 2011 it never fails, you take the boat out when the winter winds start to blow and snow mixes with the rain, take it to town and get it winterized and today when i picked it up to store for the winter, the temperature is +10, sunny and the lake is like glass. so I took the 4 minnows i got hanging off the dock and tried for a couple hours of bobber fishing, nary a bite, but I know, if the boat was in the water i could go and get some fine tasting walleye STUPID WEATHER!!!!
DRIFTER_016 Posted October 22, 2011 Report Posted October 22, 2011 See, that's what happens when you jump the gun and winterize too early. I hope to get out next Sunday for one last trip when I get home from Ontario. And I live North of 60*.
mercman Posted October 24, 2011 Report Posted October 24, 2011 My boat was packed away by this time last year, and we had a month of great weather Not this year.Watch it snow for the next 3 weeks
mike rousseau Posted October 24, 2011 Report Posted October 24, 2011 I dont "winterize" till all the boat launches are frozen...
