Ended the year by skunking!

Cant believe it! Ended the year by skunking! Got out for 2 hours on the 30th and 1 hour on 31st.

 

fishing was slow the first day, but was not expecting the skunkypoo to raise its ugly head the second day. Oh well thats fishing.

 

Kinda should have known it was gonna happen as everything was going wrong yesterday, snowblower broke, broke an expensive tie down, my buddy showed up with his plow just as i finished snowblowing in 35kmh winds after spending 2 hours fixing ignition on snowblower....then a skunk?...should have known ...lol

 

still fishing deep,jigs and minnows, still getting walleye suspended at 20'FOW over 50'FOW,just nothing on the second day. A few fish did show on screen, but did not matter what i tried...they weren't interested.

Happy New Year to you and yours, Simon. A skunking or two at the very end of the year is a good thing. Get them all out of the way to start the new year off on the right foot.....ok ok, 30.48 centimetres.......

I know the feeling of skunking too well Simon I got out yesterday and the targeted species did not want to come out and play

 

Daughter decided to sleep in so I ventured out solo I did however manage to land a short fat perch on a white jig dressed with a teaser type body tipped with a 1" Gulp black shad

 

I made a short video of it Enjoy!!!

Hey what lake are you on here....i would love to check it out....you were getting whitefish there as well....im going out tomorrow an would love to stop there
