Chasing Fall Brookies

Hi, Im heading up to algonquin this weekend, gonna chase a few brookies. Might hit a few rivers tribs or a lake. Any suggestions on what bait to use? Where would they be found this time of year?

If you can find them, you can catch them anything at this time of year. Try something that you'd normally think is too big for them. You might be surprised.

Find the upwelling springs and you'll find the brook trout. They should be concentrated fairly thick.

4-10 fow... troll until you find some, then cast the stretch of shore where you located a fish. as bill said, they may be staging around where they spawn. if you can find sand there will likely be fish around it.
