singingdog Posted August 30, 2010 Report Posted August 30, 2010 I'm at a cottage just outside St Jovite. I am having a tough time finding info on accessible fishing lakes (fishing from a kayak). Does anybody have any good beta? Smallies would be my preference, but fish would be my second preference
Jer Posted August 30, 2010 Report Posted August 30, 2010 Several years ago, we stayed a week at Tremblant at my brother's condo. Looking at a map, there were lots of lakes in the area so we dragged the boat with us. We never did find anywhere to launch and fish for a day. Hopefully you'll have more luck getting your kayak wet somewhere.
Leecher Posted August 30, 2010 Report Posted August 30, 2010 Wish I could help you on that singingdog but unfortunately never tried fishing up there Hope this bump will have someone chime in Leechman
Gregoire Posted August 31, 2010 Report Posted August 31, 2010 I have head there are rainbows in lac tremblant. As a kid I fished from a dock there once and caught some panfish. I think there are a variety of public beaches on the lakes up there. I know there is a least one on lac tremblant. You could launch a kayak from the beach. I would suggest bringing a bass gear and fishing obvious structure. From my experience topwaters can be a good choice this time of year, Good luck and post a report if you get anything.
Musky or Specks Posted August 31, 2010 Report Posted August 31, 2010 I've heard okay things about the Diablo River http://www.naturaventur.com/Habitat.html
