johnnyb Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 Beautiful fish...beautiful scenery behind you. Once those things hit the 20" mark they are beasts to bring in....nicely done!
Old Man Posted August 19, 2010 Author Report Posted August 19, 2010 Beautiful fish...beautiful scenery behind you. Once those things hit the 20" mark they are beasts to bring in....nicely done! I had hooked a 46" muskie the week before while pitching crankbaits for smallmouths in the shallow bays, and this 20" smallie put up almost as good fight as that muskie. Both were caught on a #5 gold @ flame red Original Hot n Tot. It's been the crankbait of choice this year on our lake.
ctranter Posted August 21, 2010 Report Posted August 21, 2010 Nice not-so-small smallie! Someone told me once that bass were the hardest fighting fish per pound of their weight. Not sure if that is true but a solid 20"er like that can sure make a good case for it!
centerpinFTW Posted October 28, 2010 Report Posted October 28, 2010 thats a huge smallmouth! nice job
MCTFisher9120 Posted October 28, 2010 Report Posted October 28, 2010 That's awesome buddy congrads. Haven't caught a smallie like that since my trip to Silver Lake PP a few years back
