Replacing Foam Handle

I was given some old downrigging rods, but the foam on the handles is all ripped apart. Is there any way of replacing the grips. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

probably not worth the cost...

 

see about picking up some diawa heartland downrigger rods, they are priced very well...

i use shimano TDRs and have had good luck with them... little bit more $$ then the heartlands, but not much...

Well it can certainly vary but I'd say around $20.00 to $25.00 plus material costs.

I would appreciate that Speil. Where can I get the material to replace the handle. I not sure if I qualify for a handyman but I'll give it a try!!!

That I'm not sure of, these days a get most of my stuff from the U.S.

 

But locally you might try Angling Specialties, 3 locations in the GTA.

Other than that I'd say Cabelas, I'm certain they'd have them.

a TDR is $45 at BPS, the heartland is even less...

 

why go through the hassle for $10 or $15?
