newboykool Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 (edited) it was raining the day before, so the water was really muddy and the fishing was SLOW =S only caught 3 bass from 7am to 3 pm any1 have any ideas of what kind of lure i should use for muddy water? or what spot i should be fishing on a lake when the water is muddy? Thanks Edited July 27, 2010 by newboykool
Fisherpete Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 When the water is dirty or muddy, you want lures that make lots of noise and vibration... like the rattling crankbait you caught that one on, or spinnerbaits. Solid dark, or very bright colours should help too. Nice bucketmouth by the way!
Guest LivingLegend Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 Man 7am to 3pm= 3 fish...... Thats a big stretch of time. All those hrs in one spot or did you venture around.......?

Guest Johnny Bass Posted July 28, 2010 Report Posted July 28, 2010 (edited) Yep something with vibration. Like a spinner bait with colorado blades or a rattling crank bait. Chartreuse or jet black are my favorite colors for stained water. Scented baits and top waters work well also. Oh nice bass. Edited July 28, 2010 by Johnny Bass
markiemark70 Posted July 28, 2010 Report Posted July 28, 2010 I applaud your resolve. These days when I see muddy water, I go fishing in the Tim Horton's drive through, then go home, or hit a lake where the water quality is not affected by rain.
