Tinman Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 Does anyone either work for them or have good knowledge about it that could give me some advice? Thanks Denis
irishfield Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 (edited) I think my younger daughter has the landlords and tenant act memorized, inside and out, thanks to her current situation in Ottawa... but she's a tad busy in her final term at Carleton to help anyone but herself. If you want send me a PM about what your situation is and I'll see if she has up to date insight into it. Edited February 7, 2010 by irishfield
JohnF Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 Does anyone either work for them or have good knowledge about it that could give me some advice? Thanks Denis I'm pretty current on it, and what I don't know I can get from one of my workmates. PM me if you want. JF
gdelongchamp Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 Let her rip, pm me if you prefer. Are you a landlord or a tenant?
cheaptackle Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 Denis, I have about 10 years under my belt in property management. Been before both the old Tribunal and current Board as a Landlord many, many times, both alone and with very high priced representation. As a result I've had a lot of exposure to both the Landord's and Tenant's perspectives, positions and approaches. The newer Landlord and Tenant Act has many changes in it that can be advantaged in a number of actions which the previous act had no recourse for. If you want to get into your specifics feel free to pm me on it. There are also many case histories on the Board's website that may be similar to yours that will be very enlightening. Michael
