Rizzo Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 Anyone know of water clarity conditions on the upper niagara? I'm thinking about getting out there Saturday, but tomorrow looks like a windy day out that way. Is one day of wind (wind from the southeast at 25kms on Friday) enough to muck it up for Saturday?
denisk Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 It's still dirty from the weekend, water temp dropped from 68-61 since sunday
Rizzo Posted October 2, 2009 Author Report Posted October 2, 2009 thanks for the update. I'm trying to figure out if its worth it to drag the boat from Barrie. Which direction of wind makes it worse or does it not matter?
mistaredone Posted October 2, 2009 Report Posted October 2, 2009 The image is cloudy right now on MODIS but is usually good to see is rivers are blown http://coastwatch.glerl.noaa.gov/modis/mod...io.143.250m.jpg
denisk Posted October 2, 2009 Report Posted October 2, 2009 Anything SW sustained over 20mph for any lenght of time is bad, looks like the forecast for tomorrow.
Rizzo Posted October 2, 2009 Author Report Posted October 2, 2009 Thanks guys for the updates, guess I'll wait a week or two
