Walleye plan of attack

Hi all,

 

Just like that, Walleye returned to the river I fish, not even cold yet. Nailed 7 of them in a 2hr period, they hit small rapala minnows, walleye grubs (yum on knuckle balls), didn't touch a drop shot - any other methods of getting the eyes on a picky day, as usual the hit everything from a 2hr period then that was it for the day.

Dead slow troll with a lindy rig and a floating jig head.

 

Slow death hook almost might be an option you can look into.

I started using Slow Death hooks this summer.

 

Caught lots of Bass on them. Not so lucky with the eyes though. That's not because of the hooks, that because I couldn't catch a walleye if my life depended on it!!!

Right now worm harnesses are working very well with fish on the bottom....but you must concentrate your efforts to where the fish are showing up on your graph. This is were GPS units shine.
