NF- cell phone parts??

Anyone know where to find used or inexpensive cell phone parts? My g/f bought a new LG 5500 and the battery cover fell off somewhere. We called LG and a new cover costs 50 bucks. The phone costs $100. Apparently half the value of the phone is tied up in the three square inches of plastic on the back of the phone...

Rick, I'm not sure of the design of this phone but if you don't need the back cover to hold the battery in you can buy hard cases in a variety of styles and colours that clip over the whole phone. They cost $5-6 on e-bay or perhaps $10-15 at the mall.

There's some used and non working ones on E Bay for pretty cheap.
