wkrp Posted October 17, 2008 Report Posted October 17, 2008 My aluminum boat has spent most of the season in the water. Any tips on a good hull cleaner .
Greencoachdog Posted October 17, 2008 Report Posted October 17, 2008 I use Armorall car wash detergent on mine and it does a pretty good job.
2 tone z71 Posted October 17, 2008 Report Posted October 17, 2008 get some star bright bottom cleaner or slimy grimy its the only stuff that will take off that scum and make the boat look new ,Its pretty much Acid based
Muskieman Posted October 17, 2008 Report Posted October 17, 2008 Muriatic Acid.....mixed 40% acid 60% water.. soap and water afterwards. Can't keep it on the shelf.....most marinas are snapping it up. 'Tis the season. If ya wanna go "GREEN" Captain Phab...Hull Cleaner works pretty good .. I've used soapy water and a scrub brush...and have got the same results but I used alot of elbow grease. :Gonefishing: RFS
JeffBornFishin Posted October 17, 2008 Report Posted October 17, 2008 Tried the new "environmentally friendly" Capatain Fab this year...does not work as fast as the original Captain Fab but still got the boat clean. Heard people use toilet bowl cleaner...would not suggest that. There are other brands on the shelf at C-Tire that have the same stuff in it as the Fab.
