Thames River Carp Today.

Got out for a few hours on the north branch of the Thames today, near St. Marys.

Landed 5 carp and had one break off. The carp weighed 2.5 - 6.25 lbs Also caught one small smallmouth bass. All fish (even the bass) were caught on canned corn.

Love St Marys carp fishing, especially in shallow water where you can see them hit your bait.

Nice report woodsman. Even the smaller carp can put up quite a scrap especially when you use light gear.
