ny fishing license?

hey guys i just need a little help...im going next week to fish lake onatrio(the bar) and the niagra river...i hear that sometimes its quite easy to drift into the states, i was just wondering if and where i could get an new york fishing license online?

If you have a g.p.s you should be o.k, but i too got the N.y Licence just to be sure and plus i get to fish bass earlier.Try this....

Click fishing, then freshwater and on the right side of the page you'll see licences. hope this helps ya!

You can only get an online license if you have previously bought one, if not go to any sporting goods store or any store that has one across the bridge and pick one up. they are $40 i think for the ny non resident

hmmm will a simple gps without any marine charts or road maps tell me where the boarder is?

Carl remeber as well the boating safety equipment regs are different as well, you will need a detstress flag, flares and a sound device, check the u.s coast guard site, they have quite a presence on the river

Carl don't worry about the different safety regs on the american side you won't need anything extra. I spend alot of time on the lower river and I've driven right up too the US coast guard zodiac and asked them specifically about the dif. safety regs. Your good as long as you have all of whats required in Canadian waters.

Once you cross the Queenston /lewiston bridge get on the Robert moses parkway and follow downstream to lewiston and go to the bait/tackle down at the rivers edge. Here is the link
