irishfield Posted April 16, 2008 Report Posted April 16, 2008 I agree and have been witness to a couple skunks who have sprayed while in a trap before the blanket covered it. Watch for the warning signs....skunks are polite critters, they will give you a couple of warnings before spraying (pouncing, pounding their feet, raising their back and tail etc.) Guess the skunks in Simcoe County are friendlier.. LOL Just talked to the old guy just after lunch when he came by for some hardware... he has never had a skunk spray and he moves them in his mini-van miles from his home. Yes he puts a cover over the cage.. but has never had one spray on him. That's what I was going by... as like I said my way is lead to the head & don't smell..

I understand you were "going by" hear say or someone elses experience, it was obvious. I am glad you were able to learn something.
Stoty Posted April 16, 2008 Report Posted April 16, 2008 If people arent responsible enough to take care of their pet, then they shouldnt have it in the first place. Catch the cat, and take it to a shelter. Dont physically harm it though.
Spiel Posted April 16, 2008 Report Posted April 16, 2008 ....I think we've garnered enough info here for Tinman. Thanks to all who contributed positively.
