motv8tr Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 Morning kids the plow just went by and the driver was nice enough to clean all the old snow and ice off the road and put it at the end of my driveway Looks like I'll be putting my snowblower to the test....wonder how it will do moving that wet, heavy icy garbage Enjoy your day and play safe on the roads Maureen
Big Cliff Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 Just go slow and let it do it's job, they don't do really well in wet heavy stuff. Make sure you run the auger for a minute or two after you finish and make sure you clean out any wet stuff that is still in the blower. If you don't, it'll freeze and that can cause belts and friction discs to wear out much faster than normal the next time you go to use it or even break a shear pin.
irishfield Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 (edited) What a messy melt down once again. Just moved the two feet of snow that came crashing down off most of the roofs around here and slop 'ing the slush out of the laneway. Remember that bent storage trailer of mine...well it is now a garbage compactor ! And here... now it's a fishing post... Edited January 29, 2008 by irishfield
