Joey Posted December 4, 2007 Report Posted December 4, 2007 Took these from the front window this morning and tonight. These are the icicles on "fireworks" mode. Joey
danc Posted December 5, 2007 Report Posted December 5, 2007 Nice shots, and it looks like you have a beautiful back yard Joey. A little advice on the snow shots. They are notorious for turning out blue. You can fix that with your white balance settings. Just play with it and you'll see the results change in your view finder before you even take the shot. There's very few circumstances that require white balance adjustments, but snow and indoor lighting are two examples when I use it faithfully.
Joey Posted December 5, 2007 Author Report Posted December 5, 2007 Oh, okay Dan, thanks. I do have a snow function, guess I could have used that. Although sometimes I like the blue hue in it I'll try it for the next snow storm Global warming my a......... Joey
pameladallaire Posted December 5, 2007 Report Posted December 5, 2007 Yep, that's what it looks like here. Exept mine is full of birds! How do you get rid of Pigeons?? The farmer across the road sold all his dairy cows and now the pigeons that used to feed there have moved in to my feeding stations! At least they leave one area for the rest of the birds. Pam P.S. Great shots!
Deano Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 Great shots Joey, remember if you do change the white balance, change it back or to a proper setting afterwards, or else your other pics will be kinda orange-ish.
