Problems With Magellan Map Send Topo

I just down loaded the software for the Magellan Map Send TOPO. I cant or dont know how to get it to scale to show elevation and small lakes. Can anyone help. Remember Im new to this.

One last thing, I bought this strickly so I can map from a PC vice the GPS

I'm not sure about your program but on the Garmin Topo I use there is a detail setting. If it's set low then you loose the contours and alot of other little things. I usually run mine on the highest detail setting and it works well. So have a look in the tool bar up top for a detail or somehting else along that line to adjust it.

Im interested on how it is.Details to lakes more then anything.I was told it was not worth buying.
