dsn
If you're thinking of checking out Mimico for some Salmon action take a look at this. The places where there used to be water is all sand. The water level is extremely low and you can see bottom and far as the eye can see. This area used to be loaded with carp which was unfishable cause of access but its all dried up. And this sandy island wasn't there before. Photoz
Looks a lot like that everywhere . . . an eastern trib I fish is almost identical, you can walk right across it now with hip waders . . . . used to need chest waders! That, plus the water clarity . . . . the salmon only venture up it at night, you can see bottom everywhere where I USED TO fish! mason05
The creeks around my area are at an all time low too. Some areas are totally dry, nothing but rip rap to be seen and ponds are down a metre or so. Crazy. Time for a rain dance..... Corn Nug

Rizzo
I grew up in Etobicoke, fishing the humber river as a kid. Shopping carts were considered "structure", I could probably pull out 2 suckers, a carp and 14 lamprey eels from behind a submerged shopping cart. I'm just surprised to see mimico looking so clean.
