  1. As mentioned before the hot patterns are glass and clown. A recent favorite is Blue with white belly and orange under the lip. They will hit jigs n' rubber when the crankbait bite is off.
  2. I've caught 17 walleye in the last 4 sessions this week from shore downtown.

Can I hire you, Jesus! Nice Fish, gives me hope.
  4. Echo bay, i caught my personal best LM from where Echo Bay spills into Lake George. On a Smithwick Rogue Blue/Orange.
  5. Hahaha gotta love those xraps. I have more confidence in a small glass ghost than i've ever had in any lure. I need a Rapala Hoody haha.
  6. Well I noticed a few that I've caught that aren't on your list. Tiger Musky, Sauger, Saugeye, Ling (Burbot), Splake, yellow and brown bullhead catfish, rainbow smelt (lol), Atlantic Salmon, brown trout, pink salmon, coho salmon, pinook salmon, king salmon. Plus most of the ones on your list. Thats all i can recollect right this minute.
  7. I studied computers in college and I am what some would call 'tech savvy'. If the admins need help thinking of and/or implementing solutions to these mass message BOTS, as they are known, I will help with what I know. I know its a minor annoyance, however, it is a minor annoyance that we can do something about to prevent.
  8. Yeah nice and shallow!! Ive caught walleye in incredibly shallow water at night. Mister Twister twin tails in chartreuse on a 'light as possible' jighead rocks for night walleye as well as my favorite bait the Xrap (glass ghost and clown are my favs).
  9. I like the Rapala knot for cranks. Palomer for most other hook/lure tying. Improved clinch when i don't care about "finesse".
  10. I love to fish salmon in light to medium rain, especially on the river I fish (St. Marys).
  11. ....or the backdoor of restaurants. I never buy freshwater fish in stores or restaurants simply because I NEVER want to risk financially encouraging the abuse of our natural resources.
  12. I appreciate those comments misfish and i couldn't agree more that you don't have to be a tv star to be able to fish. One of the best fisherman I know is just a regular old OFNer and I know he could outfish Izumi on any given day. I just went with that because 1. we all know them from watching the various shows on television over the years and 2. in order to be a tv host you must have obvious passion for the sport of fishing, in watching these hosts fish and talk about fishing and the way they treat and handle the fish with various degrees of respect, you feel like you get to know them. So I think we all have hosts we love and hate...there are some tv personalities that are just unwatchable. I was just curious to read some names and locations and hear some dream trips from the OFNers.
  13. Here is what I want to know. Say you won a contest where you got to fish with 3 TV fishing personalities of your choice and fish anywhere in North America. Who would you go with? I know everyone is gonna want Cronzy so as shore lunch is taken care of. Where would you go? What Species would you target? I'll go first. Hosts 1. Pete Bowman 2. Bob Izumi 3. Fish Fishburne Location: Lake of the Woods Target: Northern Pike, Walleye and Smallmouth Bass
  14. Oh and No I don't think I know Steve Poulin.
  15. Well, I've fished the western pier twice in my life, both times for whitefish. I'm sure there are eyes' there though its not my spot of choice.
  16. Reminds me of a cutthroat trout, but i agree with pink salmon (ovalish spots), seeing how there aren't cutthroats in O.
  17. The slashbait you use needs to be Xtreme! Locals know.
  18. Nice fish, and congrats on the PB. Nice color on that 'eye, anyone else notice that lack of a white spot on the bottom of the tail, thats weird hehe.
  19. Big Fish = quick picture and back in the water. Especially the females, come on now. I think you have to be pretty ignorant to keep giant female fish. They are miracles and have amazing genes and instincts to have reached such a size. Those are the fish you want reproducing!! MMMMmmmMMmm this 48" Northern sure tastes like bum.
  20. I love my Shimano Spirex 4000FE. Its my favorite walleye reel ever.
  21. Nice Luc, take me for brookies or steelheads soon please!
  22. Mepps #3 Aglia in Chartreuse for LM. Brown/silver flake tube jig for SM.
