I would agree witht the horse mushroom identity. It is also known as a meadow mushroom and by the latin name Agaricus campestris and apparently is edible and defintely related to your common store bought white "button" mushrooms but won't do anything for you if you are looking for shrooms fi you know what I mean Anyway here is a link http://www.perspective.com/nature/fungi/agaricus.html Enjoy Kawartha Kev

I posted this to a similar topic earlier don't know if you saw it. I have a cottage on Lower Buckhorn so I know the lake pretty well so hope this helps once again I caution you about the submerged shoals on this lake so be careful especially on the north side of the lake but there are good fishing spots on the north shore. Anyway here is what I posted in the other topic "Deer Bay is very open but has some good weedlines to fish for the muskies. One of my favorite areas is just up from Deer Bay called Black Duck Bay. It is very weedy but with lots of good shoreline to cast along but be warned there are lots of submerged rock shoals you can also try the many small rock islands going up Deer Bay Reach to the dam in Buckhorn but again I caution you if you get outside the main channel there are lots of submerged rocks especially on the north side of the lake. Good Luck Kawartha Kev

Glad to here it was not just me having trouble viewing the site. However I still can't get access to the full hi version of the site unless I disable the Norton Firewall. I tried to look for a place where I can exclude sites from being blocked or as you call it exceptions but can't seem to make Norton Firewall ignore any possible risk with OFC and I am sure it is a safe site any more suggestions? Again I will note this happened with the Rogers Online Protection Suite that I downloaded to up grade from Mcaffee anyone else have the same problem with the Rogers version of the Norton Firewall vs problems with the actual real version of Norton? It is strange that this is the only site of all my favorites I had before installing the Norton Firewall that fails to work properly. Thanks Kawartha Kev -
Sorry to post it so fast in this forum I just though tmore people might see it here and I have been trying to deal with this issue for 3 days and am getting a little frustrated thanks for the input Kawartha Kev

Can't seem to find anything about Javascript or adblocking

I updated Java and will have a look around in Norton to see what I can find. It seems to work if I disable the fire wall part of Norton so maybe somewhere in there is where the problem could be. Does this sound likely? Kawartha Kev

Sorry to post this here but I posted it also in the help forum but don't seem to be getting any responses thanks if you can help me out. I recently upgraded my antivirus from MCaffee to the Rogers Yahoo online protection with Norton Antivirus and firewall and now I have major problems viewing the forums in the Hi fi version. The only way I could do it was to disable the anti virus and firewall completely and it is dead slow compared to when I was running Mcafee. I seem to remember other people having similar problems can anyone help me out. All ican get to on the hi fi version is the main forum listing and then when I try to go into the general discussion forum or help forum all I get is a blank page Thanks Kawartha Kev

Beware of Lower Buckhorn it has lots of rocky shoals that can damage your motor in no time. Where abouts on the lake are you going camping I can give you some info about potential dangerous areas and some areas to try. You should be able to get into some musky especially with the big bucktails my personal favorite. Kawartha Kev

I bought a Toro Super Recycler a few years back and couldn't be happier. It is like a mulcher but cuts even finer so nothing is left of the clippings. I wouldn't bother with any type of bagger the only options to consider are self propelled vs push and electric vs pull start. The more bells and whistles the greater the price and the more things to go wrong I got the basic push model with a pull start and have had no problems. Self propelled is nice for hills though fortunately my yards flat. I also like the fact it is a 4 stroke so its cleaner and you don't have to worry about the gas mix just my personal preferance although I use the 2 stroke Lawn Boys at work in the summer but they tend to smoke and break down when somebody mixes the wrong gas. It was cloudy here so I did not see the eclipse however thought some of you might enjoy a moon shot using a small digital camera held up to a small telescope. I have some photos of an eclipse from a couple years back but not thru the telescope. Hope you enjoy it. Kawartha Kev

With the upcoming Toronto Sportsmens Show I thought I would check out the website to see what they had planned to see if it was worth going to this year. On the site they had some old footage from the 1954 Sportsmens Show I thought some people might be interested in and might remember not that I am old enough for it but there might be some on oldtimers around here that might enjoy it. Unfortunately the quality is not great and neither is my computer as it doesn't seem to play well for me anyway hope you enjoy it. Here is the link just look for the 1954 Vintage footage http://www.sportsmensshows.com/Toronto/events.htm Enjoy Kawartha Kev

I can't seem to find any setting that controls the time for cookies etc. and if there was one then the problem would occur at regular intervals and as I said earlier there is no pattern to when I have the log in request so its a bit of a mystery. I am using I.E. 6 and it is pretty much up to date. I don't seem to have this problem with other sites that I am permanently logged into. Thanks anyway Kawartha Kev
-
I don't use an automatic cleanup program that deletes the files and cookies. I do occasionally manually delete them every so often when my computer is slowing down or acting funny and I have to log in after that which I am aware of but this problem happens for no reason I can find. Kawartha Kev

Every so often I find I have to log back in to the site for some reason even though I have my settings set to stay logged in forever. It defaults me to the default skin from the driftwood one I like to use and then when I log in it reverts back to the driftwood just wondering what is happening are oour techie geeks doing some upgrades or something there doesn't seem to be any pattern to when it happens I just know it has occured when I go to the page and my normal skin is not up and it says guest. Its not a big problem just curious as to whats going on. Thanks Kawartha Kev
