I dunno, as an alternative for shooting it ? I haven't seen the video so just wondering how similar this dog looks to a coyote. If the dog was a snarling mess of teeth I would understand the extreme prejudice...

don't know if he had one or not but could the dog not have been tazed ?

sorry , busy working. now back to income splitting...bear with me, I'm still on a high from the jays staying alive let's say two parents with young kids not in school. if they're making $100k between the two (let's say they're both making $50K each). more than likely their kids will need to be in day care and in Ontario, that's going to run around $1200 per month. less elsewhere but then salaries may be lower as well so it's a wash ? Now let's say richer family is single income and wife stays home with kids. that's keeping daycare costs in their pockets. two people making less per year shouldn't, imo, have to pay as much as a single earner making what the couple is making. won't even get into single parent households which obviously won't benefit from the split. if we all agreed on everything this would be a boring board but this is my take. I still say let's see how things shake out, unfortunately or fortunately depending on your political bent, nothing can be done till the four years runs out. so fingers crossed. tightly lol

really ? I thought Miller was absolutely against having it in Toronto ? where is he now lol ? from what I understand, and I may be wrong, is that ALL policing was controlled out of hq set up on Mapleview Dr. in Barrie, during the G20. I didn't think TPS had much say

exactly and I hope the vets benefits are kept up to date. it was absolutely disgusting what happened to their benefits (and why the government had an extra billion or so in their coffers) but enough with the politics. can the Jays recover from tonight's shellacking ?
-
the TFSA primarily benefited those who could afford it (how many can find an extra $5k to put away) and the splitting also benefited those with high incomes. if people make say $120k, then that shld be what their tax should be based on. they shldn't, imo, be able to hive off some of it to their spouse to drop their bracket. I'm all for paying my share as it goes towards things I use (healthcare etc) and would do likewise if I was making big bucks. but that's me

no, I think it's about what happens when a Trudeau is at the helm. fair enough
-
Pearson was the PM for most of the October Crisis, not Trudeau. Kidnappings and the murder of a provincial minister, I think the War Measures Act seemed an appropriate response considering what preceded it. Harper had police detain hundreds for no reason during the G20. That was a disaster from the get go.

perhaps we should give JT the benefit of the doubt and wait and see how things actually shake out. I'm willing to see if he can make good on some of his promises and I agree with some of those financial changes (split income, TFSA etc...) I personally don't think it will be that bad.

Has she got her heart set on destroying this province?

I really hope so for his and his kid's sake. but if he hasn't cut off the crowd he was rolling with, then I'm not optimistic. I just wish he would ditch the tracksuit ffs, he looked better in a suit and tie lol I also don't subscribe to the first stone or glass houses thing but ymmv can't wait for winter to roll in so I can get back onto the snowshoes -

anyone who willing chooses to associate politically with the Ford Bros is difficult to understand. his hard on crime stance disappears when hanging with the crack smoking, drunk driving ex mayor. that his handlers didn't see the extremely poor optics in this is baffling... -

that's a longboard and they're very popular. there are 'board meetings' in Toronto where most dress up in shirt and tie and ride down Yonge St.. tempted to go one time but my board is a pool and pipe stick -
This has been talked about for years. I've been onto that piece of land and not sure what the visual footprint will be like from the water or nearby areas.

what you may not have realised cuz you were inside, was that extra Toronto police were called down to the Dome. they were prepared for a possible shitestorm. which fortunately didn't happen.

I'd vote for R.A. Dickey or Joey Bats if they were on the ballot

That's brutal OI, I'd be beyond pissed and hopefully there's some legal recourse to save the pensions for all the workers. Just look at what Caterpillar did. Corporate, in some cases, are leeches and need to be reigned in. While I won't get into the issues of unions ( I happen to think they're needed but if people were treated right they would not exist), Cat seemed esp aggrieved to have to work with them and thus chose to act like a petulant child and grab all the marbles and leave the playground. From a Globe and Mail article in 2012 "Eight days ago, Caterpillar reported record annual profit of $4.9-billion (U.S.), an 83-per-cent increase from $2.7-billion in 2010. That came from record sales of $60.1-billion for one of the signature companies of Corporate America" -
not only that but he dove into the stands head first to be swallowed up in blue and white. Class act all the way !

it's on the north side of 11. can't remember where exactly. I'll have to dig out the receipt haha. but it was kinda guy heaven for stuff (for that lonely stretch of highway that is...) looked at a pair Husqy chainsaw boots lol if I wasn't making miles, I would hung out a bit more dropping more coin.

and the drive from Fort Frances/ RR area is great until you leave the water then the drive to T Bay is pretty brutal. except for that one gas station that has a great store as well. found some good wool pants for winter/ bush wear there.

hahaha, imagine if that was a test to see how dedicated you were lol ? new job offer now sounds better if you get paid for travel time !

couldn't agree more Art. Also seems counter productive to waste our votes when we fight hard for people overseas, to have theirs count.

well the current company hasn't done what they offered so keep that in mind. learning new skills is NEVER a bad thing and a good way to future proof yourself. The only thing that you need to decide is the hours cuz those are long days. I have a feeling you're leaning to the new place but whatever is best for your family is what it will come down to. good luck
