So now guys shouldnt post Musky threads because there isnt enough "good for you" comments... Same old story here. Its not negetavive comments about the fish ( because there arent any here) Its the few guys on here with nothing better to do then complain about Musky posts in hopes that they go south. Its a giant fish... One of many giants for Laz, so no real surprise. Not a World record. Good for you Laz! There, are the anti Musky thread guys happy now?... Grow up

Anothergiant for Laz and Barbosa. As for catch and release record... Well there is no such thing. Very few guys carry a certifiable scale on their boat , and length and girth formulas are a joke. I wouldnt doubt if it could be a record of some sort, as Laz is the best of the best, and has caught many giants. Unfortunately, a fish has to be killed for it to be a true record.

I dont think we owe them anything. I think billions of dollars a year is good enough no? Canada is made up of many backgrounds and nationalities. They all have an equal opportunity to work hatd, be successful, and pay for what they want. Why is it still different for natives? To me, the solution is to pay them off, once and for all ( wich will cost billions, but it cost that every year anyway) and be done with it. They can become tax paying citizens, and follow the same rules as everyone else. The double standard is just not working. Or, they can do what they want on their reservations, but on public land, abide by the same rules as everyone else. I am not classifying all natives in one category, because there are plenty that are hard working, honest people that arent mooching off the rest of society. Keep working hard and paying your taxes boys. Millions on welfare and collecting handouts are depending on you!

Ill tell u what ticks me off more than this land claim issue. Its guys that do "countdowns" to threads being locked. It seems to me that certain mods see that at times, and instanly lock it, even though no rules were broken. Things can be discussed civily, but Ive seen too many threads locked lately just because a mod didnt share the same opinion, or saw someone prodding to lock it. Lets stop acting like children, and let people voice thier opinions. If rules are broken, then the mods will lock it... If not, then hopefully they will let people speak thier minds...

Fishndevil. The multi million dollar property in Caledonia was bought out by the government after the owner was beaten within an inch of his life for entering his own property. The governments solution? Buy the land, but they dont have the balls to remove the natives that are now on government property. Any non native caught on the propert are arrested by OPP ( if the natives dont get to them first) They arent going to get millions of acres in Algonquin, but they will get a bunch of prime land ( making it seem like a nice solution). Its like gas prices jumping to a $1.50 pr liter, then everyone is happy when it drops to $1.30. Reality is we are still gettin ripped off at $1.30 Lets face it... If the natives push hard enough, they will get what they want

Wanna bet? The government is scared to touch these issues with a 10 ft pole... They would much rather give them what they want so they dont cause problems. But... Give them an inch, and they take a mile. Just look at Caledonia.

Ya, when the fishery is in trouble, then it is too much to ask. If you arent willing to do your part to protect the fishery, then You dont deserve to come the 300 miles to enjoy our resources. Want fish that bad? Buy some fresh Walleye on your way home so you can "cut the mustard"

When I said suck it up, I was refering to accepting the lower limits...Its a start. Maybe these guys would prefer to keep on eating everything they catch, and wondering in 10 years why they no longer have a sustainable fishery.

MNR is underfunded, and lits of things need to change... But at least they are doing something about it to try to protect the fishery. Why try to fight them on it? Instead, suck it up for a while, and push to get them to address the other issues as well?

Yes, a store... And if you dont want to do that, just keep less from angling, and not eat fish as often. If people actually cared at all about the future of the fishery, then it would be a very small sacrifice, and would be the responsible thing to do. I like eating pizza. If someone told me I had to eat half the pizza I do now, because of a tomato shortage, then I wouldnt be too upset about that... Get over yourselves, and start taking responsibility for your actions. I know angler harvest isnt the only cause of the low numbers, but its a big part of it. Looking to all the other factors while disregarding the only one within anglers control is foolish!

Although not a solution to the current problems regarding Nipissing, but....maybe its time for meat hunting anglers to become more conservation minded. I have no problem with eating the odd catch here and there, but cancelations due to a decrease in possession limits? Whatever happenened to fishing being a relaxing activity, to enjoy being on the water with friends, and for the thrill of the fight. Catcgh and release is pretty rewarding as well. Want to eat lots of fish? Go to a store. Its usually the ones doing the most complaining, are the type that are responsible for the current state of declining fisheries to begin with.

I love the reasoning here. " theres scientific proof" etc. yet no one has posted any concrete evidence to back up their theories. Scientist that dont believe in Creationism have to keep saying that everything is here because of Evolution( even though its proven otherwise) because they refuse to believe the other explanation. Correct. Nice of you to change your words. I do believe that a large portion of science is flawed. And you take every piece of science (theory) as hard truth? Than you are extremely gullible. Where is the science proving it happened? And you dont have an answer to my list of points previously mentioned do you? We are talking about theorys here, not proven facts

Nice dodge.... Dont worry about your fear of " ya but why not" I think the points I listed earlier (which you refuse to acknowledge) are scientific enough to prove that your entire theory is flawed. ( its based on science, not creationism, so take a minute to read it.)
