  1. Had a couple bad experiences at ft. Erie... Got detained for 2 hrs ( no explaination besides laughter from the border guard) many ppl came in and left as we sat waiting for an explanation. My bro finally lost it, and surprisingly we were given our passports back and sent on our way. In the end, we missed our flight to Florida (fishing trip) and couldnt get another one for 3 day because it was a long weekend. Still pissed about it. 100% positive the guard we got was just having fun by ruining our vacation! All you can do is have your papers in order, say yes sir, no sir, and hope for the best....
  2. Exactly what Lungelarry said. A great catch for the angler ( minus the hold, but he obviously didnt know better) and its great that he released it. The rest of the story just goes to show how the media twists facts to the point that half of what we read is made up!
  3. No need to keep quiet, or kill the fish. He should be proud of a fish like that. If the story didnt turn out to be a fairy tale full of added Bull it would be a lot more believable...
  4. This article is hilarious... So full of Bull its not even remotely believable. 1."pickeral" angler with 600 ft of 100 pound test line. 2. Fishing in 220 fow 3. Pulled out 200 feet of line on runs 4. The whole boat was bouncing 5. Took an hr to land ( on 100 lb test) 6. Weighed on a spring scale ( dont know too many walleye anglers that carry 70 lb scales) 7. Was a 65 lb muskie released that was a catch n realease record 8. ( i really hope this one isnt true) Bass Pro would pay 10 k for a mount of the fish? Ever heard of replicas? Im hoping that is Bull, just like the rest of the article. Facts. Angler landed a very nice musky, and congrats to him for releasing it. As for the rest of the story... Was good for a laugh
  5. Your guide should have rescheduled or given u a refund, because the water conditions have been crap the last couple days (chocolate milk) Guess hes more cincerned about makin a buck than promoting busuness when he knew fishin would be very tough ( or impossible)
  6. Id start with some bigger baits than the live target perch... Jakes, believers etc. Experiment with color and start by trolling deeper structure. If u arent getting bit then try big jerkbaits on weededges... Let us know how u do. Good luck
  7. Nice fish! Pace yourself, buying musky tackle is as addictive as the hunt... Congrats on your first.
  8. The moon river basin is one of tge toughest spots around to hook a musky... Very low density, but still some big fish. Fished there on the weekend... Few nice pike on weedlines, and smallies on rock structure. ( be careful, that part of Georgian isnt charted, and loves to eat props!) can go from 80 fow to 3 ft Real quick....
  9. St. Croix legend tournament, or legend Elite! Not cheap, but lightest/ strongest rod u can buy with lifetime warranty.
