  2. Ended up trying numerous areas. Not much action. Windy all day. Was really calm at night but still ended up with a few bass and crappie. Nothing big. Ah well a day out is always is good.
  3. thanks for the advice. dont want to spend to much. Id say $6000 is tops. Could spend a bit more if i needed to. Was considering buying a new boat, but getting a used motor/trailer. I probably wouldnt be the greatest at fixing up an old boat.
  4. Looking to get a deep v 14ft. I think it will be alright for a starter boat. Most of the time 2 people will be fishing. Once in a while 3. Any ideas of what type of motor hp is ideal. Is it possible to have an electric trolling motor up at the front. Or is the 14ft too small to have a deck built up front. Also i think a tiller would be best. More room. Boat will be for inland lakes in ontario. Not any of the great lakes. Strictly fishing too. Also any dealers around Toronto good? Thanks for the help. Havent actually gone to a dealership but will soon. So excuse my lack of knowledge lol. Any advice would be appreciated.
  5. Out of those the abu is alright. Your best bet would to see if you can find a good used combo if your only willing to part out $100 I used to have a cheapie. Got a new curado a month after. Caught onto it quick and now use baitcasters almost exclusively.
  6. i tried by the rocks.. nothing . Years back though.

  16. I currently have an 8lb ball anchor but it doesnt work too well. The canoe still moves and such. Someone was telling me to get the mushroom anchor, it works a lot better. Any suggestions? THanks
  17. i bought a 2500. obv heavier but the extra line makes it more versatile. The difference in weight is barely noticeable in some series of reels.
  18. we went two years ago. Great pike fishing in some of the lakes around. Numerous fish caught. Nothing huge. Biggest were just over 10lbs.
  19. when i was looking for a car earlier a similar approach was used. figured it was a scam. the car was also listed as $4000 ha
  20. assuming not to many people have fished these areas haha pretty far north
  21. well i have an older curado. both are good. the revo feels more solid, also got it because i prefer the magnetic braking system and it has a superior drag.
  22. i use the owner ones. i like em
