  1. If it were between those two, I like the cumura better than the ltb series. I prefer the eva to the cork also. The st croix tips are faster though in the models I've tried. I've only tried the casting models though. I'm currently building a custom micro on a st croix scv, the blank above the ltb, can't wait to see how it turnsout.
  2. Its a smooth reel more refined, but if its the model I believe it is, not a fan just because of the weight. I've gotten used to all the light reels. The calais is on the heavier side. I would prob take the curado.
  3. Well i got a few quotes in person. Just want to see if anyone is willing to beat. I would prob end up meeting. Calling wouldnt be effective.
  4. Seen Lund released a new boat, the Impact. Have any of you guys seen it? What are your thoughts? Looking to purchase a new Lund, not to sure of any dealers around Mississauga. Any of you guys have experience on buying new Lunds at a dealership? If so specify which dealer (looking to buy from an a dealer that offers fair prices), i have to call for some quotes. Thanks
  5. Should be fine. I have the humminbird 343c, works awesome. For some reason I just prefer the lcd, it has a built in flasher not to sure how good that mode is. I bought the iceducer only because I found it for 30 bucks
  6. Basspro in Vaughan has the line also.
  7. I've tried daiwa samurai, act my favourite braid. Made the mistake of buying 20lb first, learned the hard way, had breakages all the time even on casts, not sure if it was a bad spool. Bought 55, no problems. Interested to see how these braids stack up to daiwas
  8. Probably by foot or sled by now. Want an atv but won't be this or next year. Money isn't too big of an issue. I'd want a quality hut.
  9. Looking to buy an ice hut for 2-4 ppl. Havent bought one before, can anyone direct me to a good hut for the money. Would rather buy once. Thanks
  10. Uncle caught a nice one, weighed @ 37 pounds, 5 years ago. Ill see if I can get the pic for you guys. On pigeon lake.
  11. I use the dobyns 765, heavy action but its a power less imo, I love the rod. like everyone said, most of the gear from the states is too heavy. Have you tried any of the other rods from the dobyns lineup ec1? Preferably the dx743? (Sry to post this in the thread)
  12. i use braid on every reel, no problems on my guides
  13. the ref did a great job in not stopping, brock covered up good.
  14. due to brocks size and his wrestling skills, i dont think anyone currently in the ufc has a chance. Cain, the guy will get taken down right away.
  15. brazil had a disappointing second half, ah well. Go argentina!
  16. i love my cumura rod, use the m for texas rigging or any sort of plastic, i bought the 6'8, regret buying the 7'2 instead. For the money its a great rod when compared to loomis or any others rods in the same price range. i have the fast action, but for tubes and such, im sure xf will do just fine
  17. ive held both rods, would spend the extra bucks on the mojo anyday, the rod will last you a long time so why not spend a tad more.
  18. yea burnfield, ripping jigs through weeds produced walleye, we even managed one from shore at our campsite somehow haha whereabouts can you go to get stocking lists? thanks
  19. havent fished that area near obatanga, only the lake the park is on itself and we caught lots of pike fishing in or just outside weeds.
  20. No dont want to be in a tourney haha. Ive tried of one those two before. Cant remember which. Is was alright. Lots of weeds. If i did go to pigeon river, i would be launching across from emily. Id assume the main species in that section would be bass. So id be best to work the shore?
  21. good tips. i only like the tiller because theres more room. Esp when your dealing with 14-16 foot boats.
  22. open to any species. strictly c & r
  23. Wondering what lake would you recommend not to far from Mississauga to bring the canoe. Just a day trip. Must be an area to launch and park. Was thinking pigeon river. Any other ideas. Thanks
