Seaguar premier for fluoro leaders, I use yozuri hybrid on my cranking reel, believe its a mix, don't remember off hand.
-
Btw, congrats on the purchase
-
Mines a 17'9. I needed life jackets, 2 oars, fire extinguisher, whistle, waterproof flashlight, anchor, certain amount of rope, small bucket to get rid of water (forget the exact term), that's what was given to me when I bought mine. You don't need insurance but I got it. It wasn't too expensive
-
Jealous. Wish I was on the ice
-
Saros is a good reel, you'll like the samurai line, my favourite, I'd reccommend a fluoro leader though, esp if your line is thin, rocky areas tear the line no problem. I use 20lb

Always fluoro Leader for me. Never had a problem. Cranks full fluoro no problem

Id take the crucial over the gl2, better warranty and guides. They balance well with shimano reels. My brother fishes the older crucial, 6'6 mh and he uses it for everything (jigs, spinnerbaits, traps, xraps, senkos) He doesnt feel like spending money on multiple setups. And he seems to do really well no matter what technique it is. Most mh are very versatile.
-
Nope not really. At first I regretted selling the cumura because that model worked well for almost every technique, and casts were very accurate
-
Daiwa t3 or shimano core paired with a dobyns dx 744 or a legend elite 7 mh. Before those I had a 6'8 cumura mh which was great. Sold it too another member. The new crucials are great for the price this year. Can't go wrong with them, warranty, im10 blank and alconite guides, best value imo As for line, daiwa samurai braid hands down is the best. 55lb Those work well for me Dan

Looking for a coat that will serve me in the spring fall and winter. Would i be better off getting the Mustang Integrity or an Arctic Armor coat? I know both float but the AA one isnt approved. Havent handled either coat and want to make the right purchase. Thanks
-
Didn't end up buying one cause its the older blank, although the difference is prob minimal, its missing nsi resin. To the guys who buy blanks here, is mudhole my best bet if I'm looking for a croix or phenix blank?
-
How bad was the shipping? I might order some, steal @ that price if its their newer blanks
-
I'm looking for an ice fishing, fall season suit. am I better off grabbing the mustang suits or the artic armour suits? I know only the mustang suit is coastguard approved
-
If its 600 fabric id grab either or. Thats the main reason i didnt buy a frabil, their only 300. Yes costcos warranty is amazing. I got a new hut after the season was over lol
-
A few vendors have em at that price in the states. Very good deal. I paid 1000, and at the time their were no rebates available
-
sorry, its not an eskimo at costco, its called the fish inn
-
Mine on simcoe was a pain with 30 km winds +. Mind u I have a bigger hut, the 6 man. Even with it anchored and snow mounds along it. The hubs wanted to pop in. Check out the eskimo ones from costco if they still have em. I was looking @ the frabills before, the costco ones are thicker and the quality seemed better. I did have a small problem with the zipper at the end up the season, they sent me a brand new hut.

Awesome headphones. I had a pair but got rid of em because i prefer the surround sound lol A friend of mine had problems with his, he brought them back and they exchanged him a new pair, his sound was all muffled when he bought the first pair.
-
Thx ill try it out. always wondered why I'd slowly turn and move away, yet the cursor would stand still, this might fix it
-
Hds unit hands down. I have a 7, bought it before the rebate. Ill be buying an 8 sometime before feb. Rebate makes it really attractive

Need new brakes on my 2002 v8 awd explorer. Plan on doing them myself. anyone have a cheap site to order off? So far the best I've found is autopartswarehouse, but my front and back rotor would be 2 different brands cause their out of stock in one. Not sure if that would make a big difference. What pads would you guys recommend? Everyone is telling me ebc greenstuff or hks lts. I know all my stuff when it comes to track cars but couldn't tell ya a think when it comes to pads and towing. My boat fully loaded is prob bit over 2500lbs Thanks

Never fished the lake before. A friend of mine is renting a boat from Musky Bay Resort (its their 2nd time fishing, they just got into it this late into the season.) I have my own boat, a 18 foot lund, is their a launch at that location and how much does it cost? Or am i better off launching elsewhere? I plan to meet up with my buddies though. Any fishing tips on rice this late in the year. I usually fish pigeon lake so am not familiar with the lake at all. Been heading out for musky the past 2 weeks. Hit simcoe last week but got skunked on bass. Was thinking of Simcoe this week but with 20km winds i dont want to fish in 4 footers again. Im looking to catch whatever bites lol. Thanks for the help, appreciate it!

I might be out sat. Got skunked last week looking for bass

Thx aaron. Looked longer in the video lol. I like the look of these. I prefer gamakatsu hooks over vmc. I think these are coming out soon too. http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/6378962/1

What kind of rods were you guys using? Im looking to buy a new one. It looks like they were pretty long, i want to upgrade from my 6'8. The weight tip was great. I also used to use braid and found i lost more. I use 6lb fluoro too now, the line does twist more imo. I also forget half the time and do a huge hookset
