Kewl, Kinda gives me mixed feelings though, Chritsmas or Fishing season!
-
Sure! Only thing is, I gots lots on the plate as it is now. Crap the season hasn't begun and I already got 3 weekends booked. Plus the Month of February is fully booked now too with fishing related items. There are some days I wonder why my wife still loves me!

As far as I'm concerned, it can stay at 16 degs all year round.

Ya, I had a great year. I didn't break any Personal best but i still had a great year. Did a lot of exploring on Lake Nipigon and took some chances too I guess. To get this Buck and the following Hen in the same day was worth it. Pulling guys like this through the ice is by far the most enjoyable. Mind you, tangling into double digits of Lakers on 6lb and ultra lights is a hoot too. WE musta caught over 40 Lakers that day. Well I guess I did get a PB this year, my PB Kawartha Muskie. And my first St. Clair Muskie, I really admire the colors of them from this lake. I would rather tangle into these monster Drum more than I would the Trophy Walleyes. Jumbo Perch makes for a "Kid in a Candy Store" kinda day too. The best thing about tossing big lures? Catching BIG FISH!

The best part is, if you don't like your neighbours, you can always move. That would be a great addition on Lake Simcoe too!

Won't be long now. (I'm talking about your hair doo bud)

Now that is some snow! We got our first snowfall last week, about 8". It's all gone now. Your Principal is just gonna love that photo! -
Geez TJ, the reputation you have with equipment, I am surprised you couldn't fill out this request yourself!

I was under the impression Joey would get more presents by being naughty. Wayne, sorry man. I just took all the tickets and tossed em into a pail. I got one of the guys wives to pull the name out. Hey, I can always sleep in a snowdrift.

The best way I have done is by slicing the skin, the same way as field dressing. Go through the white portion of the hair. Remove bone and if possible, scrape what fat you can out of the skin. Rub a generous amount of Pickling Salt into the skin and this will form a "hide". Try to avoid a plastic bag as the moisture won't escape out of the skin. Scraping the fat out of the tail is the most crucial. Second way is like some the True "Northerners" do it. Stretch it on a board. Let it stand in the Sun for a month or 2 and then chew on it to soften it up. You can try it this way but I prefer doing it the first way.

So... Wayne, you gonna tell us? Who is Alice? Alice Cooper? Was it one of his songs? Come on, this young buck has got to know....

Well, firstly I would like to thank everyone who generously donated towards a great project. Thinking of having an oportunity to fish for Muskie on Lake Simcoe in another 8 yrs sounds intriging. There are still a lot of learning curves to overcome in raising a wild Muskie, but every year will be better. The effort put forward on your donations, raised another $555.00. This is a great start in what will be an ongoing project. Congratulations Joey on winning the St. Croix Rod, I am sure you will enjoy years of use and abuse from it. Once again, thanks to all who donated.

Your right Lew, those were the days! I rember buying my first used snowmobile, a 69 Olympic! you remember teh one with the big bubble shroud. Well, I was so excited to buy this thing, I pulled it out of the back of my Subaru Brat and off I went, down the trails. Had a great time! Once I started getting cold, I figured I might better turn back, only to find my brother inlaw following me with my truck. THe funny part, both of us were smilling ear to ear!

Thanks Sam for holding those reels for me. Last weekend, they produced a few walleyes and I am hoping this weekend to produce a few muskie on them.

Late Late Late Late Season Bass Report (pics added
Ron replied to darsky's topic in General Discussion
Nice report Darsky. One thing I didn't do enough of this year wa bassing. I didn't even get out once this Fall for the huge and vulnerable Smallies. Like you said, they seem to put up the best fight this time of year. -
So, who else is going to Lake St. Clair this weekend? Man I hope the weather desides to change directions.
-
That is indeed great news! I hope things get back on track for you and your family.

I have always like that phot Dustin. That whole picture says nothing but Peace and Quite. Can I use it for my background on my computer?

Nice machine Carl, My brother has a Viper and his wife has the X Edge. Both of them are nice rides. Although, the Viper is a nicer stable machine. The Polaris has the M 10 suspension, but it makes it too loose on the tight trails. A few years back, we were on one of the main trunk trails North of Gogama. Trail was 6 lanes wide, flat and straight as far as the eye could see. About a mile down the trail, my brother taps out....(smoke break). As we light up a smoke and yammering, (4 of us), I open up my tank bag and grab my electrical tape out. I take the tape and wrap the throttle to the bar. One of the guys asks what the he77 I'm doing? I told him "Poor mans cruise control, we havn't left the pin yet!". Only did it for show, didn't really leave it on there. Some fun rides we've been on I tell ya.
