  1. i tried, but most of them are sadly passed on. I got some family to tell stories but their conflicting. Some say at the time of this pic the river was lush with lake trout. But no one can even confirm that this was on the river, although it is highly likely. Awesome pics guys! Ill take these pics over the modern ones. Each pic just has me wondering about the stories behind them, just awesome!
  2. Found this on today of my fiancees grandpa! Awesome pic IMO. No idea of the date though? I have more to post of my grandpa too. Anyone else have relics like this? Id love to see em. And Happy New Years everyone!!!
  3. Probably johnny depp or maybe mr putin. However my good friend fished with bush jr and it was no fun at all. The pics are cool though. Id pick depp just cause he seens down to learn and very entertaining. Plus im sure my better half would prepare a meal of a life time
  4. That shift leading to the go ahead goal was a thing of beauty!
  5. Uh oh! Seen that coming. Stay outta the box boys
  6. Cardinal sin, i forgot about the game???? Caught it right at the end of the 1st. Coffee and hockey, perfect
  7. Awesome simon! Glad to hear your getting better! And man oh man i wonder what that house is worth? Talk about paradise!!!
  8. Awesome! Im jealous. I went out yesterday and struck out big time. Only 3 walleye all day lol. The fishfinder works awesome but when tour not catching it makes it even more heartbreaking as tou watch all those fish hahaha
  9. Ummm, i can see where your going with this but you might end up wit some questionable footage lol
  10. Meh really? I know ive used propane in colder temps back in the oil patch. Just had to heat it first, which is very sketchy at best lol. Would never do it nowadays. I went out today had nice temps, about -10. Had a blast but only caught 3 walleye in 6 hours. Kids had fun though plus we went sliding good times
  11. pffft, tiger torch that THING
  12. Ill go out in -40 but only near my house on the river. No way would i travel to fish in that cold lol. -25 is about my cutoff too
  13. Pffft isnt it a "dry" cold though?
  14. thats where my better half came in hahahaha.
  15. Lowrance elite4x, eskimo 51 shark 8" auger, new eskimo insulated 3 man shack, i forget the name, but some really awesome winter boots, and a gopro hero black. My best xmas haul in my adult life
  16. I took a peak at your gifts, and your all gonna be happy merry christmas OFC!!!! Have a great time with your loved ones, and even your families hahahaha.
  17. Bunk you sure have a way with the camera, and an eye for the beauty in nature! Guess your a decent angler too lol. Amazing report!!! Ill be looking it over a few times, as i do with all your reports. Merry xmas to you and yours and have a great new years as well.
  18. Oh my! Those lineups are insane!!!! Ill be hyped to see stevie y, my all time favorite. Any money on iafrate blasting a 90mph slapper from the blue line lol
  19. for ice fishing i spend more on the reel. I dont go expensive either but the reel is usually 10-20$ more then the rod. I dont think ive ever had an ice fishing rod i hated, but you seriously cannot go wrong with fenwicks at CT. Awesome rods. I havent tried the st crouixs though but the way people talk about them on here maybe i should check em out too
  20. Yeah your right GBW. When i buy these rods i usually just use the reel for emergencies or backups. Good reels for tough backlake trips your getting beatup is bound to happen
  21. Hey bill that reminds me i have an 26 or 27" uglystick ice rod thats actually really nice, or was till i snapped off the cork end anyhow. It still gets called into duty sometimes. Dont remember what i paid but it couldnt have been more than $15
  22. hahaha true! This rod has some good power believe it or not. Frig i still have my ugly stick from when i was a kid, a 2lb walleye will fold it right over lol. Geez though those rods would be 27-28 years old now
  23. i bet they sell good though. Virtually invisible on the ice, but stick out like a sore thumb in the store lol. Visual appeal i suppose. Last year my son wanted a new spinning setup for his birthday and thats the same pattern on the rod he chose. One of those ianconelli rods. Nice rod though for the price. Reel was crap though. And its a better walleye rod than it is for bass lol. . Now back on topic lol.
