  1. good suggestion! Just remember iphones tend to freeze up pretty easily. If ya have one, store it close to your body inside your layered clothing
  2. sure, maybe a fictional character can help this squad lol. My sons atom team plays a better system than the leafs are currently playing haha. Id just tell them to go play shinny next game, have some fun. They look miserable out there

  8. hahah thats awesome! Honestly if i got my pick of celebrities it would be very hard. Bobby orr or stevie y, maybe steve vai or van halen, johhny depp or al pacino, dan marino or joe montana??? I have no clue? In fishing it would be gord pyzer or gussy
  9. Just my opinion but if you broke it and its not replaceable or under warranty, be honest. You were on the right route asking members for replacement parts. It might take time but im sure someone will come through and youll have it fixed honestly. Just my two cents, not judging anyone.
  10. Already, i know i know haha. Only owned it for 5-6 weeks and its run flawless, but the one complaint i read over and over again was the plastic switch. I was trying to show a local boy how to drill holes, and unfortunately he gave the cord a tug, lost his grip and dropped it. The switch broke maybe a 1/4", just to where it is a pain to turn the machine on, especially with gloves. What our your expert thoughts on repairing this? My first idea was very "redkneck" lol, gorilla glue a key to the switch for an easy solution. Problem is, if i break that heaven forbid, itll break the switch right off more than likely ill be left with a bigger problem. Second thought was remove the cover, drill a small hole through the switch, then tie some wire to it to pull up or down. I think this way might reduce the chance of further damage??? Thoughts? Its an eskimo 52" shark btw, and it was purchased used, no warranty
  11. Nothing here to add other then very informative thread! I love this place!
  12. Nice catch either way! I bet that was a good ol fight on light gear!!!
  13. One thing to keep in mind is freezing. If your in a shack no worries. But out in the elements braid will accumulate ice faster then fluoro or mono( this is coming from a guy that loves braid). Id stick to 6-8lb mono as it does what it should, and you can fish a variety of species without switching line, and its cheap
  14. hey now, dont question matts hockey authority
  15. And another bernier goal assisted by phaneuf! Lol. Geez
  16. And another bernier goal assisted by phaneuf! Lol. Geez
  17. I love how some of the goaltenders back then flopped around like crazy to make brilliant saves, like all the time. Another thing i miss was goalies coming out 12-15ft to challenge a slap shot. Or how about the 80's early 90's where it was commonplace for a shot to be heading 2ft wide of the net, only for the goaltender do the splits to make a miraculous stop, hahaha. I loved it all
