  1. lol thanks Randy but thats a "leftover lets see what we can do night" lol. and post some pics!!! id love to see them! im always looking for inspiration/ideas tasty as all heck but not very purdy. LOA. if you like plain hot dogs in the micworave try a pack of spicy chicken ramen noodles, crush, put in bowl and fill half way with water. cook in mic for 2 1/2 mins. let cool. crush cool ranch doritos over top. sometimes eating like crap doesnt mean it tastes like crap lol
  2. I love winter tires. that being said, how in the heck would you enforce a winter tire law? We have enough interference from the GOV id rather keep it to each their own. Just my opinion though and I realise itll be different for alot of you'se that drive in heavy traffic. and too those that practice in parking lots ive always done the same and forced my better half to as well. you never know how you'll react or your vehicle in rough winter conditions until it happens. so why not make it a semi controlled environment? not gonna lie either, its pretty fun
  3. I did that a few weeks ago with some homemade chilli and cheese lol. I broiled them after though?
  4. Well I for one love cooking. I love old staples, I love cultural dishes, simple meals etc. but more then anything I love experimenting in the kitchen. I cant be the only one. feel free to post some of your experiments or just new to you dishes for everyone to try... tonight I wanted something simple but I was craving mushrooms. so I winged it at the grocery store then again at home and made something really tasty and easy. first I got on a good beef stock. I wasnt sure how much I would need for the family so I over guessed and made 14 cups lol. better to have too much then not enought. as I brought my broth to a simmer I added a touch of oil and butter to a frypan and got some nice onions going to sweat. a lil salt and pepper and garlic. Now I ended up adding adding two cloves of garlic and a whole onion to my broth. once my onions were done I added them to my broth. now I added a crap ton of mushrooms to the frypan with some more butter and salt and pepper and now some minced garlic. I cooked them right down too a good mouth full size. I used criminis Now I added a lil cooked and drained beef to the soup. as well as some long grain brown rice. I portioned it into bowls, added the mushrooms to the top, topped with a nice fresh soft mozza, and served with a piece of my better halfs homemade garlic bread. super simple and quick but it was nice... between 8 of us 14 cups worked out perfect to two bowls each?
  5. howah! nice!!! thanks for the report, pretty funny too ?
  6. conner mcdavid is not fixing edmonton... eakens will pick up work quick. hes probably breathing a sigh of relief now hes been terminated
  7. wow! awesome report and I always love to hear of those taking out the youth to learn the craft. great shots too!!!!
  8. I absolutely love tomatoes but no way am I harvesting a fish for fertilizer lol I've heard of this alot though is it true? or just some long running joke?
  9. haha you could sense his frustration. 5 shots on net is a good night but Bozack had 5 shots that shoulda all been goals. Quick is something else in net.
  10. a win is a win lol that was a good game of hockey. refs were brutal but thats how she rolls sometimes
  11. as a Leafs fan I dont have many issues with Gardiner. sure he gives up the puck here and there but he plays hard and is getting better in his positioning. the kid has a bright career ahead of him. wait until the leafs are abit stronger on defense Gardiner will wreak all kinds of havok on teams when he jumps in
  12. absolutely! frig they dropped the lead. lets finish strong boys!
  13. that first gloveless shot that clipped the jaw hurt!!!
  14. yes, yes it does??? I should'nt laugh though I got diarrhea one afternoon out on the lake and wow the trip to shore really sucked for me, but was hilarious to my dad. every wave was small torture
  15. I cant feed my family on a sporting license so if my kids dont fish with me when i go out and we have a fry planned best believe im keeping some pike. thats funny you did that to your dad haha. I did the same to my kids that LOVE deer meat but hate moose meat. served them the moose and said at deer and they were asking for seconds even thirds lol
  16. I too love a good pike feed. fried or in a boil. two decent fish(not huge but not hammerhandles) yield alot of good meat. I use the boneless 5 fillet method. This winter I will probably harvest more pike then walleye or crappie
  17. a good butcher shop is worth its weight in gold. I used to pay about 10% more then Safeway, but I got cuts exactly how I wanted and the difference meat is almost unreal. go to a good butcher for chicken breast and cook it next to what safeway sells. UNREAL DIFFERENCE in quality of cut/food
  18. we buy shares into a local farm. one of the best purchases we've ever made. chickens, beef and pork every year. we got all the produce we want every saturday or sunday through the season they grow tons of herbs as well. they also teach locals to can etc... local farms can go above and beyond and we appreciate it greatly... no doubt its saved us thousands in food cost in the last two years, and the food is unreal good our kids have fun too cause they let us go out and even pick food if we choose
  19. its all good man. good topic IMO. I couldnt watch the vid though
  20. I only cook ribs a few times per year. we buy pork and beef 1/4's from a local farmer too. saves a ton of cash and I can see where my food comes from. id rather slowcook a pork butt most times
  21. next up for me is to eat a musky lol? I dont even know what you can keep in zone 5? I thinks its like 47" or over too keep one???
  22. oh yep I think your correct
  23. pickeral??? like a grass pickeral?
  24. all they needed to refer to was umbrella rig. this is an advertisement. and by the way they suck in nw ontario. ive got one umbrella rig(ontario legal) and ive tried it on every lake I fished the past two years. guess what Ive caught? not one fish... and it is indeed made by Yum they may work for stripers, or the the big southern ontario lakes, or american resevoires, but they arent worth the pot to piss in up here IMO.
