  1. their up against a red hot Anaheim but at least Perry is out good news is Komarov is day to day, I hope he gets back in the line up before the weekend
  2. thanks for the heads up Mike! good on ya
  3. oh wow I dont know how I missed that? thats sad I hope he gets his stuff together. give millions to a kid and a fan base I guess. gotta be hard to not feel like your on top of the world ah the life of a professional athlete?
  4. nope. Kessel was the best option like billm said seguin would be a mediocre second liner on the current leafs roster no doubt the kid has skills but he needs a team around him and I dont think for one second he fits the toronto mold. kessel is short term inconsistant but long term consistant. thats abit of of an oxymoron but its true the main thing is he shows up and performs. anyhow. i take kessel on the leafs over seguin any day
  5. ill post it up for sure. im gonna try? probably wont succeed lol
  6. hahahah ive done almost the exact same thing but I didnt use tomatoe sauce I used sundried tomatoe. turned out too rich for the kids but i loved it maybe ill try your method
  7. they are a gift from my mother in law. yep snared ive eaten them many times but this will be my first time cleaning them. wife wants fur too so any tips anyone has would be awesome?
  8. no, they are super easy to catch if your in a lake that has them??? deadstick at night with a shiner or worm ive caught thousands at night but like maybe 2-3 during the day lol be prepaired to be mildly pissed off when you land them and realise they are wrapped in your line 20 times over haha
  9. guess these are whats for dinner tonight:) WABOOSE
  10. ill take the train lol thats insane 10 years ago when I worked up in ear falls its was 1.49 I think? .87 in fort. I wonder what gas in ear falls is at now?
  11. yep OPEC has us all on a string. I worked in the oil industry and I know for a fact, oil is profitable at $14 a barrel.
  12. im still paying high prices. you guys are lucky. i think its 1.23 right now. good thing is with our recent move its a 20 minute drive to the states. what a difference! 70 to fill here 38 to fill there
  13. one thing right now is Toronto is gonna be very tough to beat as long as our depth stays where its at(remain healthy). im sure you guys have noticed the 3rd and 4th line come out and just smother everyone into the defensive zone and create chances time and time again. santorelli has become and absolute stud, clarkson has stepped up and guys like Panik as well. the harder they hit and smother the more they score and they notice that. and what can I say about JVR? hes the best we have. hes trouble for opposing teams almost everytime hes on the ice, consistently.
  14. that soup sounds really good! here is a few others I like to make... preheat oven to 350. add pork steaks to a glass casserole dish. season with minced garlic, pepper, sea salt, dill seed and coriander. about ten minutes into cooking add about a half can or even a full can of beer. when pork is nearly done I brush on a orange ginger brown sugar sauce and finish it off on broil to give a crust. that pork steak is amazing. the next is a sandwich. get a good long fresh bun from the baker. add a bunch of thin sliced pastrami sliced black olives and some jelapeno havarti cheese. brush the bread with a lil olive oil and broil for maybe 3 minutes. spread cream cheese on other side of the bread and eat got that one from my mom. takes about 6 minutes to make and its very very tasty
  15. I do the same and sometimes I regret not writing the recipe down hahaha. they all turn out really good though. Im a huge fan of stews. not only are the tasty they can be dirt cheap and fill alot of bowls!
  16. loader, now thats a toy!!! congrats on the purchase, also that food looks like whoa!!!!
  17. did you hear the response NYR Lundqvuist had to the question about tough shots from edmonton? lol kinda sad
  18. cooking is just fun though man. just try and experiment. eventually you make awesome dishes. you see some of the pics on this site? friggen amazing looking and im sure they taste even better(a pic never does good food justice) but these members were not born to cook, they learned. its fun and when you make a dish thats a hit you hang on to it and move along
  19. you can look at it that way lol. first time i made a homemade poutine thats what i thought. turned out horrible lol. but i was 17 and had no clue what i was doing hahaha if you get a live lobster just boil it and prepare it. im sure there is one million youtube vids showing how. i still suggest a light cook after in butter garlic though. mmmm
  20. but honestly if your gonna spend money on a lobster or two, personally id rather grab a few new york strip steaks, mushrooms, onion and potatoes. youll get way more flavor and bang for your buck
  21. lobster is easy. if its pre prepaired just add to a skillet of butter and garlic. cooking time depends on size but its only a few minutes. add some pepper and chives or parsley after cooked and viola! serve over a bed of minute rice cooked in chicken stock instead of water. serve with a sparkley zindfandel wine and your good to go
  22. since ribs came up in another thread, try this one its super easy(or for pork butt or shoulder.) two cups of brown sugar, two cups ketchup and two cups vinegar. mix. add too crock pot on low. add ribs/butt and cook for about 6 hours or so. super simple sauce that turns out real good. spice to your liking.
