Hey everyone, So thru a stack of gift cards held onto from the holidays, I have finally bought my first fish finder. (granted I only got my first very own boat last fall ). I bought the Lowrance Mark 5X from Canadian Tire and the web site has no user reviews- So I was wondering how many of you have bought or used this tool, and what you all have thought of it... and also any issues I may run into with it... be it before, while or after I mount it in my little "tin rocket" lol any feed back welcome and appreciated. On a side note, I just bought my own trailer up in Haliburton after spending my first 20 summers of my life there..So after a 10 yr hiatus, I am back on Kashagawigamog and look forward to trying to catch every fish in its waters at least twice and move on to the "other 4" - with a little help from my new toy

I've always said, when u have your eye on the prize, keep your eyes on the skies, those amazing hunters never stray far from the "super market" great vid.

Just bought a trailer on Kashagawigamog, if i can get it in place, and the deck leveled, might get out on Sunday - with the new trailer, and boat, and truck, THIS has to have been the LONGEST short winter in my life. Can't wait to catch every fish in those 5 lakes at least twice

I sure hope so ! i just ripped up my entire front lawn because of those lil buggers and got a jar of about 200 in the freezer lol - but I figure they couldn't hurt at least for crappie and other pan fish..i kept them hoping to use them with my little nephew so i wouldn't have to buy so many worms.

evolution before our very eyes ! very cool vid. thanx for sharing

good to know DIEING to get on Kashagawigamog again

trying to narrow it down to one is very tough, but this has caught me almost anything I've tossed it to: - 3/8 oz black Zman original chatter bait.

try the east coast states ? as for walleye, cast a rod north of hwy 11 . (sarcasm) -
wow, I'm only coming up on 30 and feel the same way, I actually just finished reading "One mans wilderness-the dick preonneke story" and it almost was enough to bring a tear to my eye by the time I finished his journal entries and his reflections.. i recommend this for anyone who hasn't read it (or heard of it)

nice video Aaron ! I've actually followed your stuff for a while now, I really enjoy that you still manage to get excited over fish, no matter the size or species, unlike a lot of the other shows on WFN, most of the hosts seem to have a "oh another one..." kind of attitude. my gf Natacia works with your buddy Tony, and she thought it was cool when I told her that you've actually filmed on "our" lake (Kashagawigamog) - I look forward to taking her out on the water for some "real" fishing, compaired to Puslinch or the Grand, and hope to nab her (or my self) a couple skis (quick question if you don't mind, when you guys were filming, were you more towards the NE end of the lake ?)

Can't go wrong with an ol lucky strike tiped with a gulp alive leech (almost anythin eats that !)

Congrats, my first (and only) was only a 22" and caught by accident casting into matts for bass lol. I know how u feel netting tho I hooked up to a 42" pike last may alone up near bancroft and didn't have a net so craddled it with my life jacket and almost took a double treb hook from my buck tail in the neck when it thrashed beside the boat dock lol. Lesson learned let me tell u

lol caught more than "one or two catfish" there Ian

hey everyone, Just want to point out first of all, I'm not looking for anyone's honey holes or GPS coords, I have my own little piece of heaven that I pull em out of on the lake, or at least used to for the first 20 years of my life, But having said that, I was wondering if the action is hot ? what sizes people have been pullin out and maybe the ideal times of day ? Like i said earlier, I used to fish the lake all season long as a young fry and it seemed heavily fished even then.. so curious what the fishery is like now.. but then again, any other info would not be turned down either
