  9. im not passing by cliffs dock.. if i catch a walleye infront of it he may just end up making a hat out of my hide. LOL!
  10. well theres always a bigger fish out there.. how much bigger i dont know but if they are getting to 30" in one place then surely there are bigger fish swimming around the same place. they are also cannibalistic, so they can have bigger meals via other pike.
  11. i dont really have any problems with mine. i used to tho, so what i do now is the following. -look down on the back of the boat and find a place under the water that it nice and flat, no rivets, or breaks on the surface. -get an abrasive rag and wipe down the area you are mounting it to. -place the cup on it, and press down hard to get all the air out. unless im going full speed for more than 5 mins it does not come off. hope that works for ya.
  12. i guess im lucky? lol seriously tho, never snagged up. i've snagged lots of shore line tree's but not docks.. i leave that to my buddy vince lol.
  13. i fish docks every weekend at one point or another. never snagged a boat, never landed on top of a dock and snagged, never got near a swimming area. i have had cottage owners yell at me for being near their docks, i normally just pay no attention to them. im there for a few mins, make my casts and move on. there are morons on both sides of the fence here. there are bad fishermen, and there are cottage owners who think they are the mayor of lunkerville. things like this have been happening and will continue to keep happening forever. if your not confident in making the cast, DON'T MAKE THE CAST!
  14. hahaha thats funny! my bud was tossing a giant bucktail spinner not long ago and brought in a perch.
  15. im a subscriber.. mine doesnt work half the damn time! keep getting a "this channel is currently not available" message. bah!
  16. in caledonia there are 2 bridges. argyle st bridge, and the rail bridge above the dam. i fish the south side of the river across argyle above the damn. forfar st i believe. night time + chicken liver = killer!
  17. my dads a die hard cat guy, as are my cousins. pretty sure you can find them in caledonia. i preffer above the dam, my cousins preffer just down the river before the bridge. they go weekly and always get into good fish.
  18. OMG!! what a report!! thank you, thank you for the pron, thank you for the time you took to write it. thats just amazing!
  19. for sure pikehunter, wouldnt mind gettin out there again soon. pete, $10 each now LOL! even on sunday, we were running them off bottom with the live targets on rice and catching walters and smallies in good numbers. they will get used until the lips breakoff, and then they'll make ghetto fishing key chains lol.
  20. as both of the gentleman before me have posted. my most productive is pink, second place goes to white with silver flakes.
  21. ohh yeah ryan, he's just as crazy about fishing as i am, we've been fishing together since we were 13 lol. we just bought a boat together too
  22. carp will toss them selves out of the water pretty high in waters that have some current to them i've noticed. in more still waters the'll tail slap while they roll out just under the surface.
  23. so some of you may remember i made a post asking if anyone knew of any places we could rent a boat on cooks bay for saturday. capt directed me to a place and we met up with pete (really nice guy, does middle of the day reports on the water with his customers.) the fishing was pretty hot in the morning, and you could pretty much see them all down at the bottom cause the water was so clear.. lots of snot rockets, lots of bass, but nothing picture worthy. we were all tossing spoons and deep diving cranks in 15-20 fow (thanks for the tip pikehunter). vince got the big one of the day so i thought id post his fish on here, im in the backround giving him the thumbs up. what worked: dare devil spoons, deep diving brightly colored wally divers (lol fisherpete your wally divers are catching them all kinds). depth: 15-20 fow on weed flats. id like to thank everyone that gave recommendations, and helpful info in general. love this community.
  24. my cousin has been carp fishing for the last week now and says they have been coming up and splashing like crazy, not biting a whole lot but jumping out all over the place. id say carp aswell.
