Every brand that Pure Fishing owns fulfills a certain niche in the marketplace and at almost every price point. Pretty smart if you ask me. - They won't be going anywhere.

Gus reminds me of my guy Rudy when he was young. He's going on 10 years now and still loves fishing.

Good thing Cats have nine lives... Now just try to keep 'em at 8. Glad nobody was injured. -

I've had my 7'6" LTB for a couple years now. Awesome rod. Also, I'm sure you've Karl on Extreme Angler TV really haul on his. No issues.

What... pulling out a box full of live baby ducklings wouldn't freak 'em out? -
As posted above, they're somewhat normal. The hull flexes and the gel coat will crack where it has been laid on too thick.

Where to get a outboard rebuilt in the kawartha area

The only other guy that I would use is Paul at Top Gun. He know his stuff too. Used a guy in Newmarket once... won't make that mistake again. -
We actually had a biologist from Oceans and Fisheries Canada/MNR speak at my last Bass club meeting. Our talk wasn't just about bass etc. I asked him why they didn't implement the same slot on Balsam across the board on the Kawartha's. Unfortunately he could not answer. IMO whatever they have done on Balsam is the way to go.

I'm not a huge fan of Power Pro, I find it hold too much water and your hands end up like Prunes. I like the Suffix Performance stuff and the Spiderthread is good too. Most braids are made in the same plant - just treated differently.

Are you running a Bayliner Cobra or a Viper Cobra hull?

Just have it checked out first. Compression and a leak down tests. Check the lower unit for water in the gear oil etc. The motor is usually the largest investment on a used boat. Spend the scratch to have it checked properly. Johnnyrudes are good in my books.

Ernie, His name is Roy Lewis at Lewis Enterprises. Certified Evinrude Genius. Located just outside of Stouffville. -
These new regs are a good thing. Put in place to protect the Big girls with the good genes and letting the fish do the deed at least least once before they are harvested. Balsam is indeed different, almost the opposite in fact. Not sure why they didn't change it to follow suit with the rest.

Nice Tank Gav, she looks better than the one in the pics. Good to see you FINALLY got all the pieces together! No go get 'em.

A major factor in a rods sensitivity that many people don't realize is that the guides play a major role in that area. The Avid comes with the Fuji guides while the Premier comes with the aluminum-oxide ones. Go with the Avid if you can. You really can't go wrong with any St. Croix.

Head to the second launch - parking across the street.

I hear soldier field in Chicago is a good.

Correction my friend... Nothing rides like a Champ! BTW: I too have heard lots of horror stories attached to Trackers and their quality.

Does it come with a motor? It should have a number also. Look into that also.

I think the Spro catches more fisherman while the Snag Proof catches more fish. Bobby's Perfect frog all the way.

Nice Fish - Great way to start. Congrats!

All of the above have great reputations, and you can't go wrong. I'll add one more though - look into Taro Murata from Fish City Tours.

Heading to Timmins same week as walleye opener
RudeBuoy replied to NAW's topic in General Discussion
I have only fished for Walleye a handful of times up in that area. I have done well fishing shallow, faster water with jerkbaits early in the season. -
Too bad it doesn't always work out so easily. Good on the neighbours for placing the call.
