I'm keepin the 40hp on it. I am trying to figure out if my 40 will bolt up to the mounting plates off of a 115.

Hey guys. I've got an 86 evinrude 40 hp with out power trim/tilt. I am looking to add it. I have found a unit off of an 85 115 hp motor and would like to know if it would fit. I checked part numbers and it looks like the 40 & 50 hp engines came with a different system then the 70 and ups. But from looking at the pictures I've seen of the unit it really looks like it could work. It has the transom mounting plates with it. Do you the the 40 could bolt up to a 115 mounting plate? Any thoughts would be welcome. Thanx.

I'm sure it's been asked before so forgive me for asking. Is there any electronic maps for the French near noelville? If not electronic where can I get my hands on a paper one? My navionics map stops giving depths about 16km down from Nippising. The water around there looks like it could be hard on the lower end. Thanks.

Nothin wrong with an ugly stick.

I thought this topic was for discusion about Grabovskis new contract. You want to rant about Leaf fans go and highjack a thread on another forum.

I do not live in the city, at least not the big one. Born and raised farm boy. My career has force me to work in the city wich is why I choose to have a 125km commute to work. I found that this is the closest I get get while remaining in the Canada I grew up in. But even in the smaller towns here in southern Ontario the days of trusting your neighbors are just about gone. Tight lines everyone.

Camillj You my friend are that part of this Country's culture that has been lost forever. I sure miss the days when people can be trusted and counted on. Thanks for trying to keep it alive Jon.

hockey stuff for Leaf fans like me (NF)
hawk-eye replied to chris.brock's topic in General Discussion
I think he is just trying to get his fix of hockey talk. TO seems to be the only place where the fans care enough about the team to talk about them. Walk into a sports bar in Ottawa and they have CPAC on the tubes. I like how every comment seems to come off as an insult. If you hate Leaf fans that much.....dont talk to us. -
Any news? Ive been watching and waiting. Dont think i missed an episode yet this season but It feels like it is nearing the end.

I find it sad when fans are critisized for talking about their team.

Be careful....parts can be hard to find.

Ive got a mid 80's aluminum with a mid 80's 40hp evinrude that is in need of a new steering control. Just wondering what your thoughts are on Rack and Pinion vs Rotarysystems. Ive been shopping arround for a new one and found that the racks and rotary systems are about the same price. Is one better than the other or is it a personal preferance thing? Im just not sure if Im missing out on something? Input is apreciated Thanks

I stopped going when they stopped calling it a "Christmass party".

River is hot and cold. Ive been skunked in perfect conditions, and have done well in bad conditions. Curious to know what guide you hired down there. I know a few of the guys and am sure that they would have given you another trip out at no charge.

When you started jiggin, were you guys using the Bondy Bait? I picked a couple up this summer but have not had the opportunity to use them yet. Nice fish!

Was out on an Erie trib on Sunday, water was still brown, only about 6" vis. Fished about an one mile stretch with no luck. Good work out there, the young lad looks like he knows what hes doing. Nice to see the younger gen in the water.

Hit Erie today at Burwell in swath of some pics/walleye. Hit the water late due to inviting the wife and daughter out with me. Nothin better than good company, and time with the girl who I don't get to spend a whole lot of time with because of the steady midnight shift. Sun was hot and the fishing was not. Trolled 2 hours in 57 to 61 fow with one barn yard animal(sheephead) to show for it. Decided to run out deeper to find the fish. Out to 67 fow about 15 miles out and the finder was lit up with hooks. Unfortunately only one more sheep to show. Lots of fish but not even a sniff. Thought for sure the bows would be on fire with that hot sun but I guess not. 8 miles out water temp was78 deg F and 15 miles out 80 deg F. Almost 10 deg more than 2 weeks ago when I was out last. Anybody else try Erie today?

Looks like you guys are gonna have a great time. Ill put it on the calander for next year for sure. Good luck to everyone and I cant wait to see how much money gets raised. To the organizers...... Way to go guys.

Sorry about your luck. Ive only been out once this year and I found that the fish were very high in the water outta Burwell. I fished one rigger and 2 dipsys for 3 hours and got one bow. I removed the rigger and dipsys and ran a 3oz inline weight in front of a 6' floro leader. I hammerd 8 in one hour. Try bringing the lures up. Also out of the 9 fish that day all but one was taken on the same spoon, greesy chicken. Good luck.
