  1. Superdad, Can you post some pictures please.
  2. Caught one 14' walleye is small bay with warmer water, also couple crappies.
  3. Same happened to me 2 years ago. I am in Newmarket too.
  4. I bought new one for myself in Napa couple weeks ago. I think they are still on sale.
  5. I bought starting battery from Napa - they are on sale now. My 2 deep cycle came from total battery in Barrie, but they delivered for me free of charge to Newmarket and didn't charge disposal $15 fee.
  6. second for Alumacraft + Evinrude ETEC
  7. Thank you Art.
  8. Lew, It's more than enough. I measured old ones and new ones are even a bit longer.
  9. Thank you guys, I think it's better to be safe than sorry - so I went this morning to Princess Auto to buy some goodies. Ended up with this one hour later:
  10. So you guys recommend it to leave it like that? Bill can you clarify?
  11. Picture of mine after installation:
  12. Moxie, How heavy is your boat? If this thing will fail apart trailer still will be attached to your car if chains are attached to the main body of trailer.
  13. Hi guys, I am wondering if you can give me another awesome advise as you always do. I recently installed fulton swing tongue on my trailer to fit it in garage. By instructions it says that I have to extend safety chains, I didn't. Friend of mine bought new Lund Fury which came with trailer from shorelander with swing tongue installed by marina. Here is a picture: I am wondering now if I should extend safety chain or leave it like that. Forgot to add - his is 3"x3" and mine is 2"x3" but rated the same 5000 lbs Thanks
  14. Very cool man
  15. Guys, I bought 2005 alumacraft 145 fisherman tiller on galvanized trailer with 2005 long shaft 9.9 hp 4 stroke. Still worth it, I will do it again with no doubt. For me savings were big. Bill, you can't imagine what kind of jewels you can find cheap.
  16. I would recommend to buy it in US. I bought mine in US last month. It was easy process to bring it here - THANKS TO ALL GUYS HERE. I just followed a recommendations from one of old boat buying threads on forum. Different in price is huge even for small boat I got. Even with currency rate it's still worth it. I sold motor which came with my boat and bought another one here in Ontario. I saw a lot of good deals on kijiji - check Pennsylvania (Erie side) or New York State. I bought in Pennsylvania - was 4 hours drive from Newmarket one way. Border crossing is simple process if you have done your home work and have all paper work.
  17. backup power supply. Like this: http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=32_437&item_id=010695
  18. any computer stores - ask for battery for ups. They are same size and voltage.
  19. Wow, that is really cool guys. Chad, last picture is a bomb.
  20. Thanks again Bill. I thought if for charger I need to connect it wires to both batteries same principal is also applicable for motor.
  21. Guys, I understood how charger needs to be connected. Now please tell me how I should connect trolling motor to those 2 batteries. Is it exactly same way as charger or I can connect it to positive and negative post of first battery and it will do it.
  22. Great report Chad.
  23. Baking soda is working well.
  24. I used to tow my 14 footer with 2 stroke 25 HP with Pontiac vibe. I put transmission cooler to protect car. Can't really complain, towing was ok except big uphills - had to speed up on downhill to get descent speed on uphill, didn't have any issues with ramps. My boat and trailer and all staff was roughly around 600 lb. Once I had a chance to get 2 vechile I got v6 Tucson. If you can't get another car, try to protect yours and got a trailer with at least 12" wheels.
