  1. Hard to pat someone on the back when they bought something out from under you or didn't buy your "Ontario" offering.
  2. We do the same thing here Art... on my last truck the dealer made exactly $69 and I know that for fact. They make money servicing these days at $92.50/hr.. not selling. Want to get a salesman excited.. .tell him that their service department sucks and you won't be buying a new vehicle from him unless he changes dealerships.
  3. Surprised that 4.33lbs is the record.. thought it would be a bit higher. I've caught 18" 'rs on GBay and close to 21's on Temagami but never bothered to weigh them.
  4. Based on the past 4+ years Phil.. that would be correct! I drink Diet Pepsi now... no sugar.. 36 lbs less to carry around on my frame thanks to that alone. Seems to mix well tooo...
  5. Cut it's throat and bleed it out right there on the ice.. step one... cut all the "dark" blood line and fat off during the fillet.. step two. Cook like any other fish after that and it tastes great.
  6. Take heart in which ever version / edition / translation of the novel you agree with and go forth... just don't come up my 1200 foot laneway to preach it to me. Lindner... it's his show... and you have the controller!
  7. Lake herring... I just filleted the one I got a year or two back and battered and deep fried it. Tasted no different than walleye... in TJ''s secret batter!
  8. Key words.. "for instance".. given example of a rod and tip up. Main key words "fish with up to two lines at any time" ! Tie them to what ever you want..
  9. Rubin probably didn't notice Will... he's only getting intel for the memory...
  10. Then you'd be wrong Davey... two lines... whether it be sitting in your hut with two rods.. a rod and a set line.. a rod.. door open for view and a tip up within the 30m visual distance etc.
  11. See if they plowed the picnic area and walk out from there. If you want lakers.. then you're going to need to get past the island, you just need to be on the North side of it to find 40+ feet of water. You may find the lakers in the deep hole.. or they could be up on the edges and humps feeding, you never know until you try!
  12. As long as I caught first fish is all that matters! The laughter just helps with the grease out...
  13. LOL Roy.... for sure!
  14. Don't go anywhere on the ice near the hwy and junction of the SW corner of the PPark by the old gas station... No issues walking out from the public picnic area... to past the church owed island and into the deep laker grounds.
  15. Maybe you can get a wide angle lense Bernie.. so we can fish further apart next time! lol
  16. He's just marking which one is his so he doesn't get them mixed up Art!!! The workmanship just keeps getting better and better... I think you may have hit the end of the spectrum though Chris!
  17. Yep.. after 50" of snowfall in 2 days it's easy to lose track where stuff is!
  18. If your wife ever questions your sanity or spending... just tell her you're getting ready for an alternate career as a phone repair guy!
  19. Good to see Livinisfishin today.. you guys get that chimney all sealed up at #1 sons?

Don't see any puddles on top of the fireplace.. of course no snow left above the chimney either.. time will tell but sure it's golden!

      Thats good to hear!

  20. As far as I know.. and just read.. $35 for the initial test and $17.50 for the second test provided you do the min work and it stays at the same facility.
  21. Oh it's a scam Norm.. bet your hard earned dollars!
  22. Most of the refill stations have disappeared around here Bernie and not worth the hassle for the $2 difference. I swap here in Penetang for $22 and $23.50 in Temagami and had enough outdated, but newer style valve, tanks to swap without purchase. Never notice you had a tank there at Giesler Marine / Auto...
  23. If it fails... there is a small amount you have to try in repairs and then test again for an additional $17.50. Can't find anywhere that says what the price limit on such repairs are.. but you MUST leave it at the same garage for the diagnostic and repair attempt before retest. If you take it away there is no price limit on repairs.
