  1. I will save you the trouble, lol This is what is really on the inside: http://www.theodoregray.com/PeriodicTable/Stories/006.2/index.html
  2. No problem, myth has been around for a few years, I know a few people who have checked for themselves as well, lol.
  3. I have heard of people all ready getting fish with spoons off the pier.
  4. I have had a very similar transaction on this site, went through without a problem
  5. haha I wish, Fake though http://www.snopes.com/photos/humor/batteryhack.asp
  6. Go with a 3 way rig if you are able to paddle to troll. This is a good video to explain. If not white tub jigs are pretty effective.
  7. I was looking at picking the same combo out to use as a trolling rod for dipsy divers. Checked it out at Basspro and seemed pretty decent - also about 20 bucks cheaper there btw.
  8. I just busted a St. Criox Triumph Rod on a snag a couple weeks ago, broke in 2 places lol.
  9. Canadian Tire often has a half decent FM transmitter than goes on sale for $10 at 50% off fairly often. Keep an eye out for it.
  10. Flies were not bad at all this year up there.
  11. Great thanks for all the advice guys. For the dipsys - what kind of rod/reel/line set up is recommended?
  12. In Muskoka, yes have good fish finder unit.
  13. You are definitely right about the Muskoka pricing - everything is overpriced up there. If your near Port Sandfield than you are pretty close to some great laker areas. I normally go for smallies or lakers, you will be up there just in time for the opener.
  14. I will be up there too this weekend, have a cottage on that lake. Maybe try some of the Marinas in town?
  15. I'm new to fishing lake trout. Most of the gear I currently have is more bass/walleye oriented. Just wondering what you guys would recommend for someone getting into summer lake trout fishing. There are anywhere from 40 feet to 60 feet or more in the lake I fish. Down riggers aren't really an option for my boat. Currently I have been running a three way rig to get down to the right depth with some success. Was also looking into dispy / jet divers, or possibly steel line. Just wondering what you guys recommend in terms of gear (rod, reels, etc) for someone starting out and not wanting to spend a ton. Thanks in advance, Sudzy
  16. Personally I would just spend the $10 and pick up the premade one at Canadian tire - lol but I'm lazy.
  17. Thats exactly what happened to me, aggressive smallies hitting huge body baits.
  18. Lots of small mouth and pike, but walleye are very hard to come by.
  19. Don't use bass specific baits, and of course release as quickly as possible any bass you get. Some times it unavoidable, had the same problem getting smallies while going for pike a couple weeks ago.
  20. I just switched from all mono to the Spiderwire Invisibraid. Great line, dont think I will going back to mono anytime soon, big difference.
  21. You can also order online here - https://banjominnow.mixdirect.com/
  22. What size lures do you guys go with for lakers? I have always tended to stay on the smaller side.
  23. Some good advice in this thread. I'm taking notes, this will be my first season going for lakers on the soft water. Will be up at Rosseau this weekend giving it a go.
