  5. Most cos I encontered where all good exp and a great chat except for one,His fault.All in All there a good bunch of folks.Nothing to hide nothing to fear.Ive even got a heads up a few times on some honey holes,LOL.

Do it according to specs and properly.Ive done way to many to count and just as many by feel.on the side of a highway or in the shop.That just goes with experience and my trade.Regardless.Do it properly,keep in mind that the bearings are greased and not oiled.If your not sure pete have a torque wrench handy and pm me.

Correctamungo!Ive changed to many on the side of the rd.not mine,all service calls on the big rigs.And not fun at all esp 401 and qew corridor.If your in the armpit of ontario area pm me and ill help you out Pete.A local shop can help as well,shouldnt be more than a 1/2 labour charge to set the bearings.Thats if there not pulling the seal or wheel.

  9. Make sure the bearings are seated,then finger tight should do it.push and pull the wheel and check for any accesive play in the bearings.
  10. I usually torque to 30 ft lbs spin the wheel then back it off,after that I tighten the nut to 5 thou of play.No more than that.Thats what I do anyway,never had an issue.Hope that helps.

  13. Thanks guys,I recall owing him 20 and he was hard up for cash.So I offered him 50 in total incl monies owed.The rod was in exchange for lent money.Security deposit And I wanted it,for a future rec room.I may give it a go on simcoe ,just once, and then to be parked on the wall.
  14. As Iwas told once upon a time way back.Channel cats(greyish with small black spots).Mud cats,yellow bellys(yellow and brown).Channels cats tug and fight,mudcats twirl for the fight(esp the yongins).
  15. Bingo!!!!! Wayne, this rod was only used for simcoe lakers back in the 60s or so.I pick it up for 50bcks.A friends grandfathers rod,and he was desperate for dough.Not sure what its worth or what it is exactly, original steel line still on it.Pm me any info if possible.Please and thanks.
  16. LOL today a coworker said he was allergic to bananas.I had to leave the room,too funny spitting up my coffee at the same time,But on a serious note he actually is.He started with the jokes afterwards,LOL.Go see the doc immediately, never know.

  18. On the rod label, there are arrow markings black/brown to follow with red.3 of them to be exact.I think its from the 50s or early 60s.Dunno.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thanks in advance.

  23. Flip up a stone or two, and put it on the hook.Stone nymphs should be around some were.Berkley pink worms or magots work very well when in doubt.
