wow nice ive found almost everytime im trying to hit bass i get pike using bass spinners and buzzbaits in the evening. i love those topwater strikes!

hey i love sturgeon! i'm not sure if this is close to the location you mentioned but there is a boat launch on long beach rd right where the road meets the lake. i think the fee is like 5 bucks you needto pay it at the general store, and they open up the gate for you. its right at the long beach marina... except the marina went bankrupt.. supposed to be a good walleye lake about 100 meters or so out into the water from the shore. a clear weed line runs at about 13 feet from what i remember aafter there's a good slope that dropes to about 25-30 ft. again its a hot walleye lake but really all of caught there are bass but i think it's because i didnt have the patience for the walleye fishing i need to be hittin docls and hunting the fish! but then again i was fishing alone on the boat!

haven't seen that ever! but i could definately appreciate that if it were still around! except forget breakfast! there's nothing quite like a full day of fishing and frying up a pack of bacon after mmmm i like it crispy! damn now i want some bacon..... thanks alot!

oh no i was actually talking about artificials. mayfly immitations.

lol all awsome advice guys.... she has been out with me a few times and i think ive been making the mistake of targetting real fish rather than just increasing the number i think the time limits have also been a little too long! i'm sure you all can relate that one last cast might just produce! and so i have many last casts! she has a pretty descent cast herself on a spinning rod, but ur all right i actually havent been using her own rod, the one she chose its actually sitting in my parents basement.... i guess i better get that out and re spool the line on that baby! also stocking her tackle box seems like a really good idea... but pink won't do she hates it! i guess she's a bit of a tomboy... i;m going to keep all your advise in mind! if nothing works out well then at least i know i tried and she can't blame me for going without her... or atleast the you read i'll fish option is still there!

well i really do enjoy spending time with her im a romantic when it comes to her i guess. but she's no princess she's tough so i know she can take she just dosen't seem to share the same motivation as me. but with all these great responses im getting im sure it won't be too long!

oh man sorry to hear! but you have an excellent point... its like that brad paisley song about how his girl leaves him cuz chooses to fishing over her! except looks you've actually lived it! i know it wouldnt go that far for me my girlfriend knows better than to ask me to stop! she's onboard with the whole buy a boat after graduation and have a trailer near sturgeon lake.... i just hope we can make the finances for it all between the two of us..... don't get me wrong she likes to fish but only the bare minimum! i need to find a way to ignite her need to fish!

i wonder... would top water night fishing be less effective with a head lamp on so you can see the lure? caught a few pike with dollarama poppers with a heavy rattler inside! top water action! nothing quite like the rush!

good point i do notice she develops almost an addiction like mine when she is catching!
