  2. Fishdawg, you package for the auction is in the mail. I am really sorry for the delay. I put an extra bait in there ( it is one of my favorites) anyone who has fished with me will know what it is.. let me know when you get it and please keep the legend known as D.S.I to yourself... Good luck with the baits and if you are ever in Eastern Ontario I would love tog et you on the water,. I will have my new boat in the spring. Sorry again for the delay

  4. I know a guy in South west Florida that does it all the time... he once got pulled around for 2 hours by a 300 pound bull shark

I have met many friends through that board, its like the American OFC! The sailfish bite is happening on the Southern coast, if you want to charter a boat elt me know and I will let you know some names if you can't hook up with osmone frmo the board. Also if you want to drive a bit the peacock bass ( yes the same ones form Brozil) are biting arund Miami... also I will PM you some spots if you are interested. If you like shore fishing there are three piers close to there ( Pompano), deerfield and Anglins) Bring a few rods with you and I can let you know what tackle to bring down Bass pro IN lauderdale is worth thr visit and the IGFA is right beside it. If you have some Blls... fish the lake in front of bass pro! loaded with bass including some 7 pound peacocks! set a monkey.. where in Florida you going in feb? I am working on something right now...   10. Mako meat is very expensive and tasty.. not sure what one that big would taste like though
  11. broke my fall streak and helped me put a 40" fish in the boat... sorry about the SLOB you lost.. she will be fatter next year had a blast out on the water, thanks again you are a great guy to spend a day on the boat with.
  12. getting colder and people are putting boats away and losening drags.... who is still fishing? I am hoping to get out for musky at least once more and may get down to the BOQ for some fall fatties then off to Florida!
  13. cacth em up! I hope to get my first Pea in a month or so in South Florida...
  14. got into a few last Friday... water temp was 38! the key to get the fish to bite was a very SLOW presentation... try deep diving jerk / glide baits or minnows baits... most the fish we moved were around rocks
  15. Peacock bass Ouananiche ( Landlock salmon) then in saltwater hope to cross swordfish and sailfish on my list this December!
  16. if you fish from any of the piers you will not need a license. Make sure if you bnring more then one rod that you tie the rods together, I wrap a sock round the tops of them as well. With my reels I put them in my lugage and also wrap socks around them. many of the canals around lauderdale hold fish, everything form bass to snook and tarpon. check the spill ways after it rains
  17. drift boats are a great idea as well, no more then 50 bucks ( some are around 25-30) I have been out on the HelenS and the Flamingo and had a good time.
  18. send me a PM and I will get to it tonight. you have nights free?? sailfish, kingfish out in the ocean right now, way out makos and Swords... bass and peacocks form shore and some snook at night around the bridges. Where in lauderdale are you staying? find out and elt me know. There are some good piers as well.. Anglins is great and open 24 hours. They sell shrimp as well. You can catch snapper, cudas, macks , jacks and sharks there... PM me for more info. I am going in a few weeks myself
