There is something very weird in MMA right now , I can't explain it , it's like , the plague of the underdog !! GSP will be back strong ... he just had a very stupid game plan in this fight .

So far , very decent event . Okami is going to have the middleweight belt with his strong clinch and counterpunching , and for the 2nd time , we are gonna have a champ that can't talk english . The Kendall fight was great also . Bring on KOs check ! I hope he gives Diego a beating , but I doubt it . I love it how Dana's nazi-treatment towards Pride in the past is biting him in the butt , coz when he announced the purchase , nobody knew what the hell Pride is !! Baaaaad business decision .

I've seen both Rampage-Shogun and Rampage-Silva .... Don't forget that Liddell is a world away from being Silva / Rampage. Chute Box fighters are waaaaay more aggressive than Jackson. Liddell is a master counterpuncher , and if Jackson plays his cards right , he can school liddell both standing and on the ground. I see Jackson ground and pounding liddell in the second round.

If you're willing to stay in hostels and other discount-accomodations, central and south america are very affordable, especially in the off season, and especially if you book last minute.

Quinton would school Liddell , but the UFC are feeding him to Liddell too early . If you gave Rampage one or two more fights , he would get used to cage fighting and the UFC , and then do his bread and butter and KTFO Lideell.

I know MMA-Math doesn't work , but this really is a no brainer. Serra is short, kinda like Sean Sherk ... if you remember that fight , Pierre jabbed the life outta Sherk , and always stayed out of his reach . IF Serra manages to close the distance , his wrestling isn't even superior to that of St. Pierre , as you saw in St. Pierre's last fight with Hughes , and we all know Hughes beat Serra before. If the odds were a bit prettier, I'd put the house on St. Pierre. What about Guillard vs. Stevenson ? I'm picking stevenson by ground and pound .

Here is my opinion on this topic : Firstly , there is no shortage of fishermen. Walk into BPS on any given day , the store is busy, there are plenty of teens and young adults walking the isles. BUT , if you want to get the teenagers off the coach and onto the lake , then you gotta help them, coz many of them have parents that just don't like fishing ! If the parents aren't gonna do it , than the MNR should . My dream program by the MNR would involve a fishing club that any city kid can join , make it affordable , and make it give kids that have no transporation to and from fishing trips a shot at fun on the water ! For an affordable price, give the kids a fishing rod, a reel, some bait for the day , and instructioning from a person with experience , but most importantly TRANSPORTATION via something like a school bus to and from the lake , with a pickup location somewhere in the city where everyone lives . Only by giving kids a chance to go fishing where their parents wouldnt can you turn them onto this great activity that beats video games any day in all respects. What beats a bunch of 14-16 year olds spending a day on rice lake , making new friends, and catching pumpkinseeds hand over fist ? Give them the means , and kids will go fishing. Plant the seeds , and only then will you watch the plants grow. On the other hand though , who cares how many kids take up fishing ? It's not our task to convince kids that fishing is fun , or that the outdoors are more fun than the indoors . Let the kids make that decision themselves. Everyone knows what fishing is these days and how it works , so really , we shouldnt be concerned with getting kids fishing . Just take care of your own family , and give your kids a shot at fishing if they want it . Lets not turn this into a religion we must spread .... in fact , the less we spread it , the less pressures our lakes and rivers will receive . It's just like dinner , the less your siblings ate , the more you got !

Summer's coming up , people are going to be wearing their waders on the tribs, lakes , rivers, in their float tubes, boats , and wherever else , and since day 1 , I, as have many other people on this board , have been under the impression that waders are dangerous because they will pull you down under water if you fall and they fill with water. For as long as businesses, and I mean large businesses continue to run with minimal regulation from the so called 'state' , we will continue harming the earth , I don't mean HARMING it , I mean , making it less and less livable for our standards. There are lots of cheap alternatives to Euro-carp-gear . The bells and whistles just give a SLIGHT but not very significant edge , and are more comfortable . A baitrunner is far from a necessiry . A spinning reel with its drag loosened up works just as well . Loosen up the drag , wait for it to start screaming , set the hook with your thumb on the spool , and THEN slowly tighten up and fight the fish ! A carp rod is also not necessary . I still use , as my spare rod an 8 foot saltwater surf rod with an up to 3 OZ casting strength and a very slow tip . I casted many-a-doughball with that rod , and still do to this day when I take somebody fishing . Oh yeah , and the best thing is that it was $5 at the spring fishing show two years ago ! Ha Instead of getting a pod , you can build something like this :

If youre considering Ebay, I'd say only buy the pod/rod/reel from ebay , because each of these contraptions are literally bulletproof !! I couldn't break my Carp rod if I tried , and could only break my pod if I stepped on it , and the reel , well , it is just a solid work horse that will serve you for many years . I am referring to the Shimano Alivio , Shimano Baitrunner , and the Fox A-Pod (All Fox pods are great). The alarms are quite fragile (drop, water spill, etc.) , and I would suggest you buy them new , or used from somebody you know , as they are more likely to break. If I don't go carping soon I'm gonna put all my carp gear up for sale !! BRING ON SUMMER !! BTW , instead of a pod , consider getting bank sticks , an alternative that costs a fraction of the price . AND , if you have a U.s. address that you can ship the stuff to , and pick it up from there when you go to visit relatives or what not, or when they come over to visit, it's quite worthwhile.
