  3. Wow that was a bolt out of the blue. Very glad to hear the operation was a success and hope Diane recuperates well and enjoys the time up north.

  5. I'm ALL for that idea, can't do it though. I work at the weather office in Hamilton and we can't leave our stations unmanned LOL! Besides which I've got some major weather occurring here this evening which is keeping me unusually busy. (figures ) Thanks again everyone, it's gonna be a fun one!

  10. I remember Spiel posted last month about how time consuming packing and preparing for a major trip was. Man is he right! Anyhoo I'm locked and loaded and ready to roll. Leaving straight from the office tonight at 9pm. Yeah baby What'ya think Cliffster, did I bring enough stuff?

  15. Not really odd at all.. Just arrived for my shift at the weather office at 2pm and 4mins later all hell broke loose. Wow is right, what a deluge!

  17. Great story and a testament to the character of the community. I can't believe the guy didn't have health insurance though even after living there for a year. Heck, I always get it when I'm headed Stateside even if it's just a short vacation... He's a very lucky man.
