    Hunters..

Got a question for ya Brian. If the WMA you're applying for has an "A", "b", c..... does your antlerless tag let you hunt in all of them. Cuz the one I applied to goes up to "e", and they never asked my which one I wanted.

  9. June 30th deadline. Just called mine in over the phone.
  10. Great job Bill! Fancy lookin tiller you got there. Can't say I've even seen a bilge pump in a tiller, if that's what all the plumbing is..
  11. I think everyone knows that spot, they just don't know it.. What ever you want call this thing.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330524241293+&clk_rvr_id=243622666752 I guess it was a white perch, cuz I didn't see any black lines down the side. Pure silver.
  12. Clowns eh. Glad you guys didn't take on any water.
  13. I have a nasty head cold, so I told my fishing partner if it was raining, not to come this morning. Woke up at 4:30, no rain. Great. Pack the boat, get it hitched to the car. Then the rain starts. Ah well, that's why they invented Tylinol right. We're in the water for 5:30, and fishing by 6. My fishing partner was on fire today. By 10 he boated 2 pickerel, 1 SMB, 1 Pike, and a dozen smaller guys. I think we might have caught a white bass? See below, and let me know what you think.. Me on the other hand, I was the guide for the day, and between that, my head cold, and the wind and rain, all I managed was a stupid little goby.. Here's my fishing partners catches.. The bass and pike lived to swim another day. The pickerel are for dinner tonight. And the gobies.. Well, they didn't fair so well. All the fish where caught in 10' of water, trolling a pickerel rig a 2km/hr. Now I'm going to curl up under some blankets on the couch with a bottle of Vodka, and a box of Tylinol Cold and watch Hookin up with Mariko on ROD...
  14. This was the Lakair report i was waiting for. Great pics Joey!
  15. One of the parts motors for the Evenrude is a running engine. Just needs a new gear in the bottom end, other then that, it's a mint condition unit. Brand new prop, not a scratch on it. Definitely worth something. That's why I pegged it at a grand. This is my motor, essentially, on kijiji with out a parts motors. http://barrie.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-boats-watercraft-parts-trailers-accessories-25-HP-electric-start-outboard-has-cable-as-well-as-hand-controls-W0QQAdIdZ291334687
  16. Rack and Reel? The had em on Tuesday.
  17. I currently own 4 outboard motors. 2 in great working order, and 2 for parts. One is a 89 15hp merc that came with my boat. The other is a 81 25Hp Evenrude. The parts motors are both for the Evenrude. The merc hasn't been used since I got the evenrude 2 years ago. I'm thinking about selling all the motors, and getting a newer, more economical motor. The 25 is hard on gas, and pollutes the water to much. The 15 is good on gas, and clean, but doesn't push my boat fast enough when loaded up. Is it true that boating equipment (like engines) sell for less in the fall, and more expensive in the spring? I was thinking about picking up a late 90's, early 2000's 20hp tiller at the end of this year. Then next spring putting my old outboards up for sale. What do you guys think? Is if worth waiting to sell them still the spring for a few extra dollars, or should I just put them up for sale now? I was thinking $1000 for the 25hp Evenrude with the 2 parts motors, and $600 for the Merc. Do those prices seem about right. There a 25hp evenrude, same year and model as mine on Kijiji right now for $800 w/ no parts motors.. (edit..)
  18. I wonder why the guy at total battery didn't suggest that option.. Hmm.. I know.. Now he has my $125 in his pocket. Or, my battery was beyond repair.
  19. Hahaha.. I would have.. But there was already a battery in the charger, with a phone number written on a post-it. It momentarily baffeled the employee on what to do. Took him a minute to get his together.!!
  20. For $125 after tax. I picked up one from Total battery. They where $30 cheaper then Crappy Tire. Gunna test her out this weekend in Wuabaushene.
  21. How thick is the wood you are mounting you seat too? The way I mounted mine works great, but the ply I mounted mine to was about 5/8 thick..
  22. Personally, I wouldn't be jumping all over this guy. Camera angles can be very deceiving. This week I was out on Simcoe with 2 customers from work. It got really! choppy, so I had to head in. When i got the boat on shore, I was very very very happy that my feet where on asphalt. So I took quick video of the waves.. I showed my wife, and the basically called me a Pu....sy. Mean time, I was inches from being swamped in my 14' tinner.. You really would have had to be there to judge this guy. For all we know, that was a 4 to 500 meter shot. No problem for a experienced shooter. As for his daughter. That's the kind of hunt I would bring a young child on.. You don't want to bring them ona deep woods bush whack where their going to get destroyed by bugs, and be traumatized for life.. What do I know... I'm not a moose hunter.
  23. Interesting thread. I've slept out in the open, just me in my duck hunting camo, a bag of decoys, my sleeping bag, and my shot gun. Not to worried about getting trouble. At home, every gun I own, pellet, BB, and the real ones, are all locked up, all the time. However, at the cottage, the pellet gun is displayed on a gun rack above the fire place. 620fps too. Try to tell my 80 year old grandparents to take it down. Aint gunna happen.
  24. Thanks for all the input guys. I appreciate the help!
