...and after today, this thread is over. not the learning though. plenty of that left to be done.

It took a few hours for the fish to wake up this morning but once they did...they were on BIG TIME! I went 6 for 7 Stonefly went 4 for 4 while I was there. Not sure what went down after I had left. His first fish of the day. The white is blinding. My two nicest fish were both of this size. And then my biggest brown to date. Didn't have a tape but I'm thinking around 22". We ended the day with a double header, both fighting our biggest fish of the day. Naturally we were all smiles! Thanks again Mike. You should become a guide. Looking forward to seeing your pics. Haven't had the chance to get out this weekend. Worked Saturday and today is my wife Anna's 33rd birthday. Here comes Monday to the rescue! The weather forecast has been all over the place. Now with the rain coming today I'm left with a situation regarding where to go. The spot I've been fishing as of late will more then likely be too stained on Monday depending on how much rain actually falls. It might be time to try one of these gin clear eastern ditches I keep hearing about. Hopefully a successful report to follow Monday evening.

They are known to be a little neurotic. Best thing you can do is buy it from a good breeder, learn about the mom and dad of the puppy and train the hell out of it for the first 6 months. The best thing for my dog was exersize. In the beginning if I left the house without taking her for a walk or playing with her in some sort she would get into stuff when I left and cry. Then I started taking her for 45 minute walks before work and that made her stop crying and decide that chillin' in her bed wasn't such a bad idea. It just got better from there. Now she's 5 and I have no problems with her at all. Mind you I still take her for a run or bike ride almost daily so she's mellow in the house. If not she walks around too much and it just becomes annoying. For myself there's two major positives that came out of this. I'm outside way more which is never bad and over the last 5 years I've lost 20 lbs and held it off.

Thanks Rick. Problem is the hole dash light trick only works sometimes just like the signals. The switch for my dash is on the signal arm. Looks like it is the multi-function switch. Why does that thing cost so much?

bulbs work fine. not the issue. sometimes they come on other times they don't. i really don't get the cold / warm problem. and for a different switch being able to trigger them on? just weird :/

I drive a 2002 Kia Rio. I'm having an issue with my signal. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn't. 2 weird details to note. 1) It seems to not work when it's cold outside. Been doing it for the last 2 cold seasons now but hasn't occured during the last 2 spring / summers. 2) When it's not working, I can turn the switch to turn on my dash lights and it triggers the signals to come on. How weird is that? Dealership says it 'could be' the multi-function switch and would cost around $650.00 parts and labour. The thing is they're not sure that that's the problem and say once they change it I could still have the problem. $650.00 later a new multi-funtion switch and still have the same problem? That would suck. Anyone have any clue what the problem is or even heard of this occuring before??? Any help would be great. Thanks Guys.

Thanks Chris. She's trained really well. If I call her she comes to me in a flash. She knows who's boss. Funny thing is most of the captures are in the backyard when I'm not present. We live along a ravine and many critters wander in. She kind of calls the backyard her own and if I'm not there to call her, she fulfills her instincts. I'm ok with this.

In my situation there are NO hunters around. I live in the GTA so thankfully I don't have to fear someone shooting my dog in front of me for chasing a squirrel. I have my little pockets in the city where I don't see a soul. Just me and Ida, all smiles, frolicing about!

I too have a Weimeraner. I don't hunt but bring her along for many outdoor adventures. To date she's captured: squirrels groundhogs catfish birds mice moles rabbits Sometimes there's nothing you can do about it unless you have them on leash all the time. They are not the breed for that, that's for sure. Love mine to death. IDA

I lived just outside the town of Burford, ON for a few years as a child. I use to bike everywhere to hang with friends and go fishing in random ponds, creeks etc. etc. When the sun started dropping we use to see tons of them in the ditches that run along the country roads. This was between 1989-1992.
