Well I would just park it in your driveway for the time being and see what happens like Terry said these by-laws are only acted on when a neighbour complains hopefully you have nice neighbours. Do you have a private driveway?
-
I didn`t notice the fish just how foggy it was out there.
-
I believe someone brought up this before i think in Whitby and there was a by-law regarding boats being parked in the driveway, so you should look into it. I know for us boat owners it seems silly that we can`t park our boats in our driveways but I can understand what the towns thinking is if they allowed boats then people would want to park their dump trunks and then their tractor trailers and before you know it your quite little street would look like the DVP at rush hour.

So what you are saying is if you have a car with a 1000 lbs. towing capacity and you have 1000 lbs. in people and cargo in your car that effectively your towing capacity drops to zero?
-
Towing capacity is just what it means "Towing" what your pulling, the weight of the boat+trailer+motor+batteries, gas tank, tackle boxes, rods, reels etc.etc.
-
I could see if you were thinking of a big ticket purchase say 20 grand or more it might be worth it but just a boat? When you take into consideration the 20% difference in currency and other costs and time involved hardly seems worth it.

My sympathys to the family they leave behind but man how stupid is that, what is it with the male of the specie seems we are always trying to go faster and dream up new ways of killing ourselves. -
Google boat trader online. This subject has been brought up numerous times try searching this site or google and you should get some specifics. One thing to keep in mind if you are planning on buying new in the US your local dealers will not honor your warranty. If you look hard enough you can find good deals right here, new old stock, demonstrators etc.

I don`t know I have a 600 dollar BPS gift card that I am going to spend this weekend and that will probably cover only have of what i will buy this weekend so i guess my answer would be NO! -
I wonder where the water went? If the battery discharged over the winter and froze then it`s probably dead or at least damaged, a fully charged battery will not freeze but one that is not will freeze and that will ruin a battery. I would just try and charge it again and see if it holds a charge if it doesn`t then it gone.

I used to have a 4 cylinder K-car many moons ago and when i loaded that POS down with the kids and the camping gear it would hardly move especially uphill and trying to stop it going downhill was an adventure and if memory serves I think i even popped a couple of wheelies driving with all that weight. I can`t imagine someone pulling that kind of weight with a K Car amazing he wasn`t killed in an accident.

Some one mention domestic cars and the lousy re sale value no argument here but I say use that to your advantage, a low mileage 06 Civic will cost 18-20 grand a low mileage 06 Chevy Cobalt or similar car will cost 12 grand I say take the domestic and she can pocket the 8 grand and put it towards a nice fathers day gift for her great dad. p.s. Last night I bought a used low mileage 06 Buick Allure to replace my Maxima looked at the 06 Accord and Camry`s as well but at 26 grand i went for the 16 grand Buick to me it was a no brainer the Buick was much smoother and much more comfortable driving car than the imports.

Sure the 4 bagger will tow a 1000 lbs. might get kind of interesting on those steep slippery ramps though.

I bought the Browning Agressor combo a couple of years ago and it is in my opinion a darn good combo for the money.

First of all when it comes to the coaches Murray imho is one of the biggest goon coaches going he has a history of this sorta of thing and Ruff is just a whiner period althought i can`t blame him in this case. Everybody should know what Chris Neil is about by now yes he does have more skill than the typical headhunting goon but he is imho a cheap shot artist first and foremost he looks for opportunities to INJURE players and that my friends makes him a punk. The hit was late if he wanted too he could have decide not to hit Drury,Drury was totaly defenseless and the hit was from the blind side a Chris Neil trademark. When a player takes the opporunity to hit another player to the head blind and potentially seriously injure or end a career then i have no respect for that player and the NHL does not need that type in the league, don`t get me wrong i don`t mind a good scrap every now and then but the intent to injure has to taken out of the game for good,Chris Neil should be suspended for intent to injure. These things will continue to happen until the NHL get serious about protecting players from headshots. -
I have strong opinions of this subject as Scugog is my home lake and I would like to buy a retirement home up there,I have voiced my opinions on this subject here before so I will make this brief. Contrary to what one may think the Walleye fishery on Scugog is in serious trouble if you need confirmation talk to the local pro`s like I did last year and they will spell it out it out for you. The MNR should be taking decisive action rather than studying the situation to death at the very least a reduced limit for the summer season with a slot limit or a catch and release fishery should be introduced and of course the obivious regulation that should be changed is to close it to ice fishing.

lookinforwalleye replied to lookinforwalleye's topic in General Discussion
Thanks to those who replied, I have a couple of test drives booked a 04 Silverado and a 04 Trailblazer and will also be taking out a F150 and a Pathfinder. I would like new but man o man the prices are out of this world an 04 is about a 1/3 of the price of new. -
just a continuation of the bad summer walleye season, the walleye population in Scugog is in serious trouble to bad the ministry is dragin their feet on addressing the situation.

Morning gents I will be in the market for a tow vehicle in the next couple of weeks and was looking for some opinions and comments from the members on what they have and what they like or dislike about their trucks right now i am thinking Chev trailblazer or Nissan pathfinder. I will be pulling about 2000 lbs Alll opinions welcome.

I would second what flip said if your looking at a 40 to save a few bucks you will probably be disappointed you will find you will have to keep the power cranked up thus draining your battery and shortening you time on the water.
-
Thanks for posting the link it was an interesting read.

Your story sounds very plausable since it is a man made lake,I always assumed that area was a sanctuary I would be interested in hearing the story.

The best part of NASCAR? It has the shortest off-season!
lookinforwalleye replied to fishdawg's topic in General Discussion
I have been a race fan for many years still remember those bang and crash nights at the old Pinecrest speedway. I have been a fan of Nascar for a long time and I am sure like most fans that are old enough can remember the first flag to flag TV broadcast of a Nascar race it was in 1979 the Daytona 500 and if memory serve the King (not Elvis)won that race, but I will tell you these days I have a hard time sitting through a race to me it just does not seem to grab me like it used to i don`t know what it is perhaps the rule changes maybe the pretty boy GQ type drivers. I miss the days of Earnhardt,Allison,Gant,Baker,Waltrip,Wallace trading paint, my watching schedule is now down to the 2 Daytona races a couple of short track races the road course races and of course the Talladega races. That`s a nice picture of you and D Dubya Bill tell me was that a forced smile as I know you are a big fan of the intimidator usually fans of the 3 and 17 never got along.
