  1. Awesome!
  2. Numbers are in decline because every eel in the world spawns in the same spot. Some swim north, some swim south, some immediately enter ports to the west. The Chinese were harvesting the eels from this spawning area every year. You keep killing off the breeding hole every year and well.. bye bye eels. Anywho, I've tried it smoked, fried, baked.. never could stand the stuff!
  3. Dude, forget the mag spool crapula. Get a Shimano Sedona. Don't worry about buying another spinning reel for 10 years after.
  4. Great stuff!

    Yummy

Looks good! My baking comes from a Pillsbury tube. lol
  6. If it tastes anything like eel.. no thanks!
  7. Trust me, they do! Usually October/early November.. they gorge themselves so full that they puke while you're bringing them in the boat. As for the story, that is almost unbelievable. lol the real story probably is he stole it from the guy in 1987 and felt guilty so made a crap story about a bass up now. LOL j/k
  8. He was funny in Naked Gun though.
  9. I'd eat carp again.. but not those carp! PS if anyone wants a carp dinner that bad I'll gladly walk down the road and catch ya one free of charge. lol
  10. Depends what kind of action I want on that given day. (Based on split shot rigging which is what I use through the ice) For most mobility of the minnow, just behind the dorsal fin is best. This allows the minnow to swim in a full circle around the shot, depending how far your lead is from your shot it can be up to 2 - 3 feet. I usually go about 6 - 8 inches though. Good for active pike and the evening crappie bite. For a move, stop, move action, I hook just in front of the tail of the minnow. He'll swim for a bit then drop dead.. great for pike and crappie. For a stationary wiggle, I hook the minnow through the eyes. I find this best for perch however you have to make sure there's a good delay before you set the hook. Through the eyes the minnow can last over an hour.
  11. There's only one bandwagon I host.. and it's the KAWARTHA DAIRY bandwagon!
  12. Kinda like you interjected yourself on the bandwagon with Beats eh? Oh, and I quoted you because I know it bothers you. I kept my opinion to myself, exactly as I said I would Holdfast. No need to drag me into this. All I said is that I was offended by his post, and that's why I decided not to go any further. I was trying to avoid all the stupid bickering.
  13. .
  14. You've offended me so many times in that paragraph I dare not reply with my opinion. Though I can tell you I've seen many people catch, keep and eat carp. I can't tell you what race they were a part of, I don't often pay attention to that type of stuff.
  15. "It's beautiful. Merry Christmas Bubbles."
  16. Yeaaaahhh.. it's because of those reasons I don't post photos or stories of my huge muskies! Yep. Certainly not because I never catch any.
  17. Just a quick correction.. carp do not actually eat any vegetation unless you count the plankton when they are tiny little fry. They uproot the vegetation to eat the crayfish, leeches, worms and other tasty treats found in the roots. Funny, quite a few other fish eat the same types of things.
  18. Gadgets.. heck I just bought an ice auger and thought that was a major advantage to the "hatchet" method.
  19. I've tried carp.. it was tasty, definitely would eat it again but certainly would not fillet it again. Blood everywhere and bones like chicken bones!
  20. Been using my Humminbird 100SX for ice fishing for 10 years now every winter, in temps down to -25, no hut. Never had it freeze up, and batteries usually last all winter. I have the settings so basic that the delay is only about half a second, and it picks up my lure on the graph.
  21. Pike!
  22. There was no worms in that perch.. some sea lice around the gills that's about it..
  23. He wasn't handing YOU the money. If I pulled out a wad of 5000 bucks in bills and you grabbed it from me and started to count it, I'd smack ya in the teeth!
  24. Geeze if I ever saw that over a lake anywhere, anytime.. I'd be going to fish there. That's just way too much of a sign!!
  25. The heat from my lighter.. sheesh I wish I had a hut let alone a heater to put in it. lol
