Big Muskie caught in Sparrow Lake (pics now added pg 2)

true story..smalliefisher is right...42lbs 7oz. We had our club classic tournament wrap-up that same day and we weighed it on our digital scales. I did see a couple of broken rods in the guys boat; girth I think was 24 inches. I took some pics with my cell phone...the only reason someone thought it was over 50 is they had an old hook style scale and it was pulling it close to 50..not very accurate with that thing so the digital was used.. thanks guys -
I'm with leechman and twocoda..picked one up a few weeks ago when they were on sale at CTC..blue as well..great buy and comfortable!
-
how did you rig it? wacky or texas? thanks

thanks for the info guys..I read the posts..I just wish there was something we could do rather than pay the 900, wife has been in tears all day...so much for holidays starting this week was wondering if we 'cancelled' our hydro service and re-connected under a family name (father)if that would get us out of it?
-
Hi guys So a while back my wife enrolled us in a private hydro company called Summit Energy that promised lower savings etc on our hydro bill. Well, we received our bill and after using less energy compared to our last bill the bill was over $100 more! After several phone conversations that went nowhere, we were told it was going to be $900 to get out of the contract..( we apparently pay 8c/kw vs 5 or 6 with Hydro one..I guess they are saying that in 5 years it will be over that with Hydro one, hence the savings down the road?) advice? thanks guys

RIP MS! Great station, listen to it exclusively especially the morning show!!

and a great tourney she was! Great day for it too. Lots of largemouth in the many weed beds around the lake...explore the lake a bit and be patient..like Steve says, unfortunately specifics are hard to give away but there are lots of varieties in the lake.... have fun

Hi gang Just looking at going to Niagara Falls for a night or 2 and have been pouring over the Ontario Tourbook from CAA; a few hotels to say the least. Just wondering if anyone down that way could recommend one or two, preferably with view of the falls... thanks in advance Rich

I know everyone talks about using fluorocarbon leaders for braided line and not using the 6" steel leaders when jigging for 'eyes; just curious on the thoughts of using/not using the small steel leaders for say a plastic surface frog, crawdad jig, swimbaits etc....I use a braided fireline and was wondering the best option for the end of the line..barrel swivel, leader or nothing? thanks guys
-
I had a Berkley rod snap on the weekend in a similar way; took it back to Canadian Tire (with no receipt) where I bought it earlier this year..they exchanged it for a slightly better model no questions asked......thank you CT! Good luck with your Shimano...........

had the exact same problem with a 20hp Merc; it was the carb all gummed up..use premium fuel as well once the carb is 'de-gunked'... -
thanks Garry..appreciate it

Hey guys Just curious the best way (knot?) of attaching a flurocarbon leader to braided line..I have heard a small double barrel swivel as well but figure that would get hung up in the guides when casting? thanks
